I used to change break pads in my older car but I couldn’t figure out how to open the breaks in the levante. I went to a mechanic and he kindly allowed me to film the process. It took less than 10 minutes per wheel and all using standard tools. Maserati wanted to charge me for replacing the disk and pads in access of 500 pounds per wheel. I bought the pads for far less and cost me less than a 100 pounds to fit all 4. You will need to ensure handbreak is off and car is running to be able to take off the pads. Needless to say, you need to lift the car and take off the wheels before you can get the pads changed, but if you didn’t know this I would not recommend attempting to change the pads. As for me, I will be changing my own break pads going forward.
The same process apparently works for #Mercedes electric breaks.
