The new one shows the textures better. It should be easier to see flaws in components. Love your videos.

This LED is not the strongest but it has a high CRI (The stock LED had both low output and CRI). This means it reproduces the full color spectrum which produces more heat but you get better color and more contrast. Other LED's have more output but the colors are bad. Try looking a family picture under different lights ans you will see the difference. It will also help you see corrosion, cracks in chips and other stuff that you see in daylight but it's hard to see under artificial light.

Exactly. The Nichia 519A is renowned in the flashlight community as a high CRI light with somewhat good efficiency. It's not 'high efficiency' but for the quality of light it gives (which is extremely high) the efficiency is quite good. Also, for microscope you should get some 5000K CCT bins, so it gives neutral white colored output without any cast. 2 amps is the rated max output of 519A. You can overcurrent it given good cooling, but it's not recommended for prolonged period of runtime. If you really want the LED with the highest efficiency, try the Cree XHP 50.3 3v but it is low CRI (70) and and only comes with 6500K CCT bin for 3V version. Another efficiency contender is Luminus SST40 but the quality of light is very poor (very low CRI and 6500K with green tint)

Interesting and useful. It seems there is never just one setting for all different types of repairs. I seem to fiddle with light more than I wish, like trying to read the chips vs. checking solder cracks, etc.

Hi Sorin, please do a detailed video of how you have setup your voltage and amp meters for testing using your bench power supply, i see separate meters but cant work out what your cameras are looking at - it is very interesting - to me anyway. I did look at your bench setup vids but did not see the setup, or missed it. Thanks

Hey Sorin! Please, tell us what camera do you use for filming the top view of your bench. It's amazing! I've seen your camera and tools reviews, but you never spoke about the top view camera. Thanks! 😉

All these high power leds need a good size heatsink and run them on half the rated current in order to keep the temps down and make them last awhile......

7:10 we can see the difference! I also like veeeery bright light, also on my bike, e-scooters... People have already asked me about it, they said it dazzles them extremely!. HAHA 🤣☺

Always be careful playing with such power bright LEDs , NEVER watch directly on it without protection, it might cause permanent dead spot on the retina of your eyes ! I have it, but i can't tell when it occured exactly during my work .
