May I know how many new transmission fluid you had pumped in? I plan to do the same thing, but no clue how much transmission fluid I should prepare? Thanks for any help!
I started the vehicle for like 5 minutes before replacing the fluid. I started vehicle back up when refilling ATF and going through the gears. Then refilling whatever is needed until it overfills from the fill plug
@@Hawlkeye-e9p yea but if you want to do a full flush thats going to be expensive af and mostly everyone who has tried maxlife atf on myg37 forum says so far so good
I’ve used Max Life on my M37S with some Lucas Transmission Additive. Works great and shift feels smoother and faster. Has a more sporty shift feel when punching it imo.
Much needed info.. my check engine light went on .. got a test at Auto Zone said it was transmission sensor.. anyhow I bought the car 2&1/2 years ago so I’m sure the transmission oil needs to be changed.. the ? Is what is your opinion on changing the oil 1st .. before taking it to a dealer .. I know when oil breaks down gets hotter .. any advice would be appreciated..thanks from Louisiana
latino914 100400aprox.. PO710.. going to the dealership in am get it straight from that point we should be able to change our oil.. she runs good shifts good .. hoping all is well with her .. thanks for responding
They are working on it now they had to replace the sensor.. changing my transmission oil .. also I had a water leak BAD .. they had yo remove my dash to replace the part .. omg $$$$
latino914 when I looked on rockauto it seems like you can buy a filter but when I bought most of my stuff from conceptz they said the filter wasn’t serviceable. Hmmm. How many miles is your G? Mines at 146k first aft change scared the the 10 mm bolts will round.
Yes, there is now a filter available, but it is DIFFICULT to find. The dealer will tell you they're not for sale. Autozone was the ONLY vendor I could find that stocks the kit (including gasket) for $29.99 plus shipping & tax (not in regular store stock; buy it on the web). September 2020. The 10 mm bolts are easy to access. A coupe toward the front require you to angle your socket/extension a little, but it's easy.
hey man i have a 2013 m37s and it jolts while driving sometimes i feel like its the transmission have you ever experienced that? my fluid might be low im not sure but it feels like its slipping
You can measure the amount you took out and go by that. Or when you fill through the fill plug, as soon it starts seeping out is when you quickly put the fill plug back on.
You can fill through the dip stick. Once up to temp turn off engine. Remove secondary pan overflow screw. Let drain or add till it starts coming out. The end.
@@VQSHELLZ drain from transmission pan, refill at the dipstick which you find under the hood behind the motor. Measure what you drain out so you get an idea of how much to put back in. I recommend using Nissans trans fluid. I tried Valvoline and after it didn't feel right in the shifts. Went back to Nissan matic S and it felt smooth again. Keep in mind, your not gonna get all the fluid out through the drain plug. It's only about 60% that comes out.
@@Gm29_mtz No ,it shouldn't. If you want to get all of it out you'll have to flush it. Nissan recommends flushing it out manually through the trans cooler line. Other wise just drain and refill a few times with in a month or 2. This will dilute it to mostly fresh oil.
@@undecided4life910 infiniti says it's not serviceable but they do sell the filters out there. Not sure the exact amount of fluid the entire transmission takes
@@latino914 out of curiosity, how’s the car performing after another year of it in there? I’m about to swap to valvoline next weekend and your comment made me feel safer lol
