I keep the Camo at light 2k by hand and it’s bailed me out a lot when the lanes get tricky late in a block.

Luke Roshdal has said weaker cover formulas react much stronger to cover changes than stronger formulas and he is correct after testing. Tested from polish to 4, 3, 2, & 1000 on Alert w med cover etrax and marvel w strong nex and little difference w Marvel but BIG difference in alert. Speed dom so I like surface on weaker covers and most pearls. Fate was a waste for me for most part oob. Hit it w 3000, looked better, 2000, better, 1000, awesome even on fresh at one my houses w higher friction. Nex seems to get bout same traction no matter which surface but loses its snap and miss right recovery w lower surface so its back to 4000.

Hey Luis, I don't want to make the mistake you made with my M&M, so would you just recommend cleaning it after every use or is there certain pad I can use to keep the original surface intact and just clean it off good?

The factory gloss they are putting on balls right now is not good. I prefer to hit them with 1k, 2k and re-polish them. This also allows me to have a surface I know that I can re-create in the future when enough games get on it and a resurface is needed. Also, the RIP is the Camo replacement, so not surprised it works a little better with surface.

I feel like alot of these balls out there just aren't that great without surface. Don't know why. When I was a teen in the 90s I didn't know you can add surface to a bowling ball and I felt the balls back then responded way better. There was probably less oil on the lanes back then but today's game it seems like all these balls lack oomph without surface. It's kind of annoying at times. Oh when it comes to polish, I think creating the difference channel did a comparison between polish and using there 4500d pad I think it is? 4500 pad will give the look of shine without the polish and still add some teeth into the ball. Where when they used actual polish I guess it didn't perform as well.

I have a new M&M at 4000 abralon. It hooks a ton but hits harder than my "stronger" stuff.

I know nothing about about bowling balls, but I ordered my husband a phase 2 for heavy oil lanes. I was looking at getting him a second one that is better in dryer lanes what should I order. I was looking at roto grip hustle, raw hammer

Hustle RIP is money at 2k. Smooth af but still gets through the fronts. I can honestly open with it in league or use when it drys up.

Why not just polish the M&M back up? maybe it will be a little better, you have always said look at surface adjustments before you give up on a ball.
