I agree that six weeks isn’t long enough for some exercise! I tried jogging at six weeks postpartum and I swear it felt SO weird in my lower abdomen! I stopped and tried again a few weeks later and it was WAY better.

My second baby was born in September. I didn’t start to work out till January. It’s been a slow process. He destroyed me lol. I’m doing an ab and pelvic floor rehab program and it’s been so great for my body.

I saw you at Target today but didn’t want to yell across the store since you don’t know me lol. You have a great gym setup, but if you ever need some motivation to get back into a routine of working out, I go to Hooligan CrossFit. If you come in the mornings at 8:30 or 9:45, they have childcare, the classes are almost all moms in all different stages, and most of the coaches are moms too and will make any modifications you need. It’s a great group! Not super competitive, we’re all just trying to be healthier good examples for our kids 😊

Whenever we make spaghetti we also bake chocolate chip cookies. Not sure why but my hubby and daughters request it. I am more friendly to myself after two kids as well. I was also hard on myself before kids. I looked great then and I look great now. It’s just easier to see it now.

After seeing the 3 bandaids I was watching 20:55 like this🙈 lol New knives are dangerous!!

It’s been 10 years at the end of the month since I had my son, yes I’m also disabled, but I’m still not back into so much. My body is 100 times worse, I’ve had 4 surgeries since then, 2 of them joint repairs, one a hysterectomy and since that hysterectomy in 2019, my body is way worse than after pregnancy. Menopause doesn’t help, I’ve had endometriosis it’s just nope. I’ve got a musculoskeletal (EDS specific) 3 week inpatient rehab coming up to learn how to manage everything and develop a personal physiotherapy program that suits me. That’s pretty much all I can hope for, to keep my joints and muscles and ligaments at a stage they are for as long as possible, and you know what, that’s absolutely ok. Yes I’d like the body shape back that I had prior to my hysterectomy, but I know I was underweight. I do know I need some core strength, the c section and 2 abdominal surgeries afterwards have absolutely wrecked my abdomen and the spinal issues really need some help. If all I can get is some more stability, then I’m happy. I’m never going to be a size 0 again, it wasn’t healthy either.
