Hello! As I could see, the new template is already online when you started to edit it. Is there a way, to edit a new template in the background and let the "old template" still run until the new template is completely ready to go? I ask because I chose a new template which has completely other functions and settings than my old one, and so I think to edit it completely will take more than just some minutes. But I would like to have my website still be functioning while editing. Is that possible with a child them? To work in the background on the new and to upload and exchange the themes when the new one is ready to be launched?
I'm putting off doing this myself because I know that I'll have a bunch of checking to do once I install + activate the new theme. But this does at least make the expectations realistic. :)

Hi Alex, watched this today and enjoyed it. I would say that this video, alongside your other video on 'Make Money Making Websites-Be a Web Designer', got my interest on how would a person host multiple (3-4) websites on one hosting plan? Is it easy to do and manage? I would like to add a couple of more sites on my hosting plan, but I'm a bit flumuxed! And, I might add, scared that I would cock-up my current site. I've done a bit of research on it, but as a newbie, the words 'add domain & subdomains' confuse me and make me what to run away. Can you shed some light on the subject?
+Tom Wright Hey tom. If most hosts allow you to have more than one website on your hosting, it just depends on the package. For example TSOHOST www.tsohost.com/web-hosting (use code WPEAGLE for a discount) even on the basic package allows 2 sites... If you were looking to make lots of sites for clients etc then a reseller package is probably best: www.tsohost.com/web-hosting/reseller-hosting Let me know if you have any more questions. -Alex
Hi Alex, Thanks for the quick reply; any chance of a shortish video (ha ha)? I'm ok with the hosting side, I already have a website that allows upto 5 sites: its how you add the remaining 2-5? I take it that if you install individual, separate, web sites are they managed by different dashboards or just the one? In addition, If you bought one, single, Premium Theme could you use it, and its child theme, on all the indivdual sites? Hope this makes sense. Tom
I'll try and do a video tomorrow, but basically it's one login, that shows all the sites you have and you then click through to the site you want to manage. Ask your host for help if you're stuck :)
Yes thanks for the vid ...i have another seo question. I have a bespoke theme from about 4 years now and business is good thanks to seo however its looking aged so need to change themes. My biggest concern is the seo factor , and also my guy that built the theme has dropped off the radar so, is going from a bespoke to a WP theme ok ? im in no hurry , got plenty of time to tweek etc . I'd always go for a premium theme. that way you get support and updates without having to worry. Changing theme shouldn't impact SEO as you're content and site sturcture will remain the same...
