Finally, for the first time since 2020, Channel 4 has aired my most favourite episode of The Simpsons, which is Marge Be Not Proud! Recorded from 8:30am to 9am on 14/07/2024
Channel 4 are ironically airing ‘The Simpsons’ episode ‘Daddicus Finch’ next Monday, your least favourite episode of the entire show. I would recommend not recording that airing.
The reason I rarely (if at all) ever do so is because RU-vid's content ID system is completely broken when it comes to promos (and sometimes even idents) on the BBC channels, and it keeps erroneously detecting that it's some random programme (one that will of course cause the video to get blocked) when in fact that programme was nowhere to be found anywhere in the video. If RU-vid's content ID system for BBC programmes weren't as corrupted, I would upload continuity from the channels (on a more regular basis). But because of how broken it is, I just can't be bothered, as it's not really worth the effort.
2 things 1. What are your thoughts on Channel 4 cancelling their airing of Lisa the Iconoclast and replacing it with Baby You Can't Drive My Car due to the Trump assassination attempt? 2. I thought Marge's Son Poisoning was your favourite Simpsons episode?
1. Can't really say I'm all that surprised to be honest, but I do commend them for it. Channel 4 does sometimes change the scheduled episode to air whenever there's a breaking news story. Now, that hasn't always happened (see this video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--wP6deQ6ho4.html - as an example of a poorly timed episode that Channel 4 unfortunately didn't change), but in a way I'm kinda glad that isn't happening again this time around. 2. Marge's Son Poisoning is my 2nd favourite episode, only having been beaten out by this one. HOWEVER, it is the episode that really shaped the most out of how I saw the show as a whole (especially since the beginning of 2021) and has had the biggest influence on my life (particularly in terms of personal interests and things like that) and it's the one episode that has the biggest focus on the very thing I love the most about the show.
