Don't worry about us, we'll be here! I know how hard it is making friends as an adult. For me, moving around for work and then eventually landing a remote position made it all the harder. I'm grateful for the few friendships that I've managed to hang on to over the years, though it takes real effort to keep them going over long distances. :( I'm so glad for the job update, been wondering how it was going! Are you able to wear polish at work? It's just something I always wondered. When I was going in to the office I used to amaze my coworkers by being able to guess what polish they were wearing, lol!
It is SOO hard to make friends as adults. And such a necessary part of healthy living. I am able to wear whatever I want in terms of scrubs 🥳🥳 and nail polish 🥳 my nails just have to be short, natural, no chips and no gel overlay. All things I would stick to anyways 😬

Jackie, your fans are very loyal and we support you! I completely understand your issue with doing so much all at once. One year ago today I began my 11 month journey to earn my ELL Endorsement. That means I can teach English language skills to students whose first language is something other than English. I have been teaching primarily 4th grade for the past 20 years. I had to continue teaching 4th grade full-time while taking classes for and writing papers, and being a mom and wife all at the same time! For about 6 weeks, Monday-Friday 9am-4pm I was in classes. After class and on weekends I was completing assignments. After a 2 week break, I started the new school year teaching full-time, and also continued my classes on Saturdays and every other Wednesday evening through nearly the whole school year. I was exhausted all the time and had no time for socializing. However, after completing the program of classes, assignments, the certification test and final presentation; I had an interview and was hired for my dream job! It was so hard, but so worth it! Today I am finishing packing up my classroom to move to my new teaching position! I am excited and a bit nervous for the end of August when school starts again! I am so happy for you and will be thinking of you as you complete your training! You are going to be amazing! 😊
That is SO amazing!! All your hard work paid off!! And now you also have your dream job. Congratulations 🎉 I spent six years working on my bachelors while I was working. I did the program online and I was able to work part time so it was doable but it was still a LONG time and so much homework and papers. I was so over it by time I finished 😂
I'm so glad you met some new local friends! Please enjoy your new job and life and don't worry about us, we're not going anywhere! And you know I am never prolific or regular with uploads myself due to health stuff, so I get that it's hard to fit it in sometimes. Time and energy is precious, I know that better than most tbh.

Totally understand. I just left a job right before I hit 3 years of working only nights 40+ per week. It messes up your brain and your life. I don’t really have friends like that either. Just acquaintances from work with whom I interact online. My son 34 yo) is my best friend and we try to do road trips when we can. I finally have a job that I like and it’s no Fridays, no nights, and no weekends. I went to nursing school almost 30 years ago and I remember doing clinicals in PICU and NICU and being in awe of the nurses. You are truly impacting people’s families. 💝
Oh that sounds like a nice job to have after so many years of working. Working nights definitely takes a toll on your body! I’ve been doing it 13 years and couldn’t imagine doing days but also am tired of nights at the same time 😂
Your channel is one of my favorite channels, you won‘t get rid of me that easily ☺️. I did observe longer intervals but frankly was happy thinking you are fully engaged in your new job. In short take all the time, I am happily watching whenever you post.

Jackie, please don’t stress about your channel! Starting a new job in any field of nursing is intense and a PICU is incredibly challenging! Kudos to you ! And in the future in high demand for your knowledge and training. I’ve been a new for 46 years ( CCU, PCU and Cath Lab recovery) Full time for 43yrs and am finally retiring in September. I’ve worked nights for the past 32 so I know what you’re up against plus weekends, holidays and on-call ! Not a job for most! You have to give yourself credit !!!!!! The PICU !, full time nights and u-tube, WOW I commend you ! Keep up the good work, you’re almost through it ! True friends will come ! I enjoy your videos and will wait for you to do more when you can !
Thank you for the update. When you shared details of your nursing journey and new job I immediately was 1.so happy for you and 2.knew there might be a chance there would be less videos. Working in healthcare myself (oncology) I certainly understand all the training required. Take this time to focus on you and your career you worked so hard to achieve. In the beginning of my career when I knew I wanted pediatrics, I had thought really hard about peds oncology. In the end I knew it wasn’t for me at the time (or now I guess). Maybe someday but I know it would be so sad. Bravo to you

I admire you for putting yourself out there and finding IRL friends through an app, and then putting in the time to cultivate those friendships. NGL I miss your monthly duping videos because they're SO GOOD, but truly, don't worry about us; we'll be here when you get back.
It’s so hard and we’ve been here for 13 years. So just imagine how long it’s been since I’ve had fulfilling interactions. My duping videos are not going anywhere permanently! They are some of my favorite videos to do and also my most popular. I have lots of plans for expanding the series 😃
Focus on you & don’t worry about us. We will be here. As an introvert, I don’t have friends either. I work 100% remote now since Covid and love it but do miss the social side of interaction with peers. You worked hard for this so keep looking forward, we are all rooting for you 😊

I just retired after 40 years of nursing 👍...nursing is very hard God bless you for doing pediatric icu❤....don't overdue it night work is really rough I did it for 10 years goes against your body clock you never get enough rest. Take care of your wel being you are so worth it. Yes buy your nail polish it's yiur thing and you enjoy doing your nails as do I. Hope you love your new job🤗
@NurseJackie2582 OH I know days in the hospital is a nightmare!!!! Everyone thinks nights are easy...umm no...people think alot during the night especially cancer patients. It's completely understandable. I used to work in the healthcare management, I hated how folks treated others and would cut hours. It's true, your coworkers are not your friends. As a central Floridian it can be hard trying to find friends who love nail polish. My closest nail polish buddy is in Tampa-Zephyrhills area, but that's about 1-2 hours away. The Champions Gate/Disney traffic is awful. I hope everything goes well for you at the new job and hopefully soon you'll be able to create your own schedule. 👍🏻
It’s hard to find anyone that understands our love for polish 😆 even when I see people wearing nail polish I wouldn’t dream of telling them about my Instagram or RU-vid.
@@NurseJackie2582 I think it depends. Some ladies out there will give a compliment, but others obsess over polishes/nail art when you're out shopping. (Or that happens to me at least) 😁 That's when I when I mention my handles. It helps to build character and confidence. your happiness is your priority, not us! 12 hr shift emergency services worker here. totally get it, nights aint easy!! the rest of the world does not get it. and you should be super proud of yourself for getting the new job, learning pediatric icu (cannot even imagine) and even more impressive to me (lol i mean can you top picu?) is that as an adult you are prioritizing your social life. truly. 16 yrs of 12 hr e emergency dispatch shift work and ive NOT done that, burnout caused me to push people away over the years. i wanted the quiet, but in hindsight i realize that was not the healthy way. so kudos to you, dont worry about us, ill watch whatever you put out, and it makes me just go back and watch the older videos before i found you. xo
Ahhh thank you 😊 burnout is no joke!! I never really truly felt it until the last few years. It’s hard to navigate the feelings sometimes. Tired but also wanting socialization but also too tired to actually do anything 😆 that’s how I felt for awhile. Now I’m feeling good and ready to get out there 😬

I can definitely relate. As on over-the-road truck driver I have a 70 hour work week and then only 48 hours off. Plus every 2 weeks I'm doing the night shift, then switch to mornings, so my sleep is all messed up. What app did you use to meet new people and make friends?

Hi and thank you! The app is called bumble bff. It’s for finding local people. You make a profile and then swipe on anyone’s whose profile appeals to you. You only get to talk to them if they have swiped on you too. I made a few friends and then stopped using it because I don’t want 20 acquaintances, I just want a few good friends. So I’m seeing how these few go first
