Congrats Martin, I'm actually surprised its taken this long for you to break 10K, the channels that good. I've been jonesing over the period myself although more the wars of succession & on into French Indian & War of Independence. closer to home. I'll have to check out Aventine, shame to lose great sculpts right after finding out about them. Yea, Helion rocks, I get daily temptations from their news letter which has some great sales which is imperative since the shipping is absolutely brutal to the States. Hugs.
Congrats on the milestone Martin! I subscribed on your channel after learning about the PCP in Wi. Now that you mention your contrast WOTR video however I realised I watched that one while looking for people who used contrast paints for historical miniatures 4 years ago. A shame I did not subscribe back then, but after a few years I managed to find my way back here. Videos are still as entertaining and educating and here is to many more!
⭐️Congratulations for all you have achieved….as the channel has grown your painting has got better and better but best of all your enthusiasm has never waned….long may it continue Shame about Aventine - hopefully someone will pick up the range⭐️
Well done on 10k, onwards and upwards Martin. The house looks awesome, the smaller door actually looks kind of right to be honest. Doors of old houses often are on the smaller side.
Congratulations on the 10k subscribers! I'm excited to see that you have plans to do another Dead Man's Hand game. Hopefully your lovely wife will be playing the game along with you. As always, you have great information, and I thoroughly enjoy watching your videos.
Congratulations on 10K subs! So looking forward to all the content coming soon! Can’t wait for the restock on Ragged Staff Minis. My Impatient Heir is impatiently waiting to be painted while I finish up my Burgundian mercenaries.
Congratulations on 10k subs Martin! With the standard of content on your Channel its easy to see why. Exiting new projects ahead, I can recommend Peter Englund's book The Battle of Poltava & the birth of the Russian empire. A good detailed account Cheers👍
Congratulations to get in to 10.000 the romans stuff looks brilliant .that wargamers book looks brilliant and your house looks great as well even if it was a pan in the bum to glue together congratulations again and keep up the good work 👍👍👍🤠🤠🤠
Congratulations on 10K. Very interesting news Mark. Boris has interesting books on the North. A long time ago we took part in reconstructions of Napoleonic warriors with him. It’s a small world🙂
Nice update, I think it's on youtube, for GNW inspiration you might want to look up Peter the Great starring Maximilian Schell. 80s min-series as it features a few battles, probably very historicly inaccurate but great romping fun.
Congratulations mate on 10K, I remember that first video getting me into wargaming the WoTRs and now I’m featuring in one of the battle reports! Looking forward to the next milestone
Here's to more Roman stuff! And also to hoping someone else picks up Aventine, their ranges are astounding. Congratulations again on the 10,000, and thank you for continuing to produce outstanding content.
First of all congratulations on the subs mate. Fantastic and well deserved. The GNW is right up my street, so I'm looking forward to seeing that. Fraustadt has always interested me as a battle from the wars. Nice haul. Glad Ragged Staff is going so well and that house looks great.
Cheers mate, I really appreciate it. The GNW just holds a fascination for me as it's so varied, fabulous larger than life personalities and some great "what it's". The Battle of Pechory is one that I would love to game, swedes crossing the river, floating batteries, smoke screens from little boats filled with straw, a floating pontoon bridge, fire ships and then swedes in boats going across the river to engage the Saxon and Russian forces 😁 that would be a table to see
Well done Martin, I'm loving the content and the PCP content as well. Takes my right back to when I was a young painter who didn't wargame but painted other peoples armies just cos I loved doing it. They roped me in in the end when they were short handed but lets just say in terms of tactic and strategy totally inept, but they did look lovely as they died horribly!
That is a seriously amazing nerd channel milestone! Congratulations Martin. All the best moving forward.Just keep keeping it real. Don't worry about "upping your RU-vid game" to sustain the momentum; us real nerds love you the way you are!
Well done on the 10k subs, you deserve it, heres to the next 10.i wouldnt mind seeing a dead mans hand review as im thinking about getting it,your and others videos about it make it look really good to play.
First of all congratulations, well deserved, your channel is a constant source of inspiration and your presentation is always great. Having said that, the waking the bear book looks nice and its interesting you mention something like this could be useful for other periods. Have you ever given thought of maybe writing something similar for the war of the roses? I understand, these kind of projects are HUGE but still I'd say you'd start of a very sound basis of knowledge and understanding the subject matter.
Cheers buddy really appreciate it. The GNW is certainly trying to distract me but I'm staying strong for the most part. I was thinking about it, and I would definitely be very interested in contributing to something like that. What I like about the book is that it's system agnostic so suggests things to think about and resources you could use. Then there is a list of rulesets, mini providers etc
Congratulations on 10k! Those Romans do look great, looking forward to more battle reports. Is there a chance of any more Pike and Shotte stuff down to pipeline? I loved your battles with Miller.
Thanks very much 😁 there will absolutely be more P&S, they just need a little more planning as to when we are both free, but we have the next game planned in our heads
Congratulations on 10K mate! Some very cool books there. Great Northen War is a project that I been wanted to do. Problem is there is no plastic figures only metal. Maby 3D now days. If you find any good ones, let us know. 👍
I have found 3D files by Warbear that looks good, only Russians so far but they said Swedes as well by the end of the year 😁 I really appreciate the comment, thanks for watching
@@7thson726 I've seen that kickstarter before. The figures look good but not in my taste. They look really chunky, for example the bayonets are bigger then the muskets. But that is just me. :) I been looking into GNW in 15mm too. Just wish Warlord Games or Perry Miniatures could do GNW. 🤪💣
Thanks you 👍 the AZW project is still going but as I said when I started it, it's a slow burn thing that I do every now and then when I fancy it, that being said I do plan on adding to it again soon
That's true, I've still been working on them, but as I said when I started that project it wasn't going to be a regular thing and just something to work on when I fancied it 👍
