Chansons traditionnelles - Virtual Performance
Students will join Franco-Ontarian family band Ariko to learn to sing 3 traditional French language songs and to do podorythmie (traditional French-Canadian foot stomping). Call and response songs, voyageur music and fiddle tunes are presented with a historical and cultural context. In this bilingual digital workshop, students will expand their French language vocabulary in an engaging experience that aims to build success and skills that can later be applied in the classroom. Members of Ariko look forward to meeting students for a live Q & A following the workshop.
