Chante Moore was not underrated. She suffered from what most of the great singers suffered from in the 80's and 90's, bad management! Agents that were stealing their clients money, record companies giving out poor deals and taking most of the profits. happened to her and lots of others, however, you are vastly mistaken if you think that Chante Moore was underrated! You can't be underrated with a voice like that and underrated singers don't get picked to sing to Luther one of his songs!
@@vincespell I don't think she wanted that mainstream success though. Too me she just wanted to SANG and have enough income to support her family. I think Chante Moore wanted love more than anything else, it is expressed in her music. She definitely had the gorgeous looks and anything else if she wanted that success she could of had it.
She was relaxed and confident . She knew she was prepared and very capable of delivering this song with excellence. On another note , I like to watch how heavy hitters like Luther study people who are covering their songs. They take it very serious! I’m sure Luther was pleased with chante
I will never forget watching this whilst in NY back in '99...and it just completely blew me away how she just stepped away whilst hitting that whistle note! Stunning
What people don't know is that she walked away and corrected to the right octave.. and u didn't even notice. That's what u call a professional singer...
Chante is a GREAT Musician; her voice is her instrument and she use it, play it so well. and did I mention how SEXY she is. a beautiful Black Woman here.
Truly. Reminds me of the fact that Johann Sebastian Bach was not heralded in his lifetime. His son was the popular composer and artist in their day. Sometimes it takes generationsffor the general populace to catch up to the greats.
Such class in her performance. She gave an effortless amazing version of a great. Her voice was not strained and remained soft and in tune. Her whistle was spot on and added chills to an already amazing song.
Her interpretation of this song is flawless. I ain’t gonna lie when she first hit the stage I was thinking to myself; NOW she better be good!!! Coming out looking sexy as hell with the fur in her hand, it seemed too over confident but she delivered. 👍🏿
I love how she held the note, sang away from the mic and then vowed to Luther. What a way so show respect from an inredible and talented artist to another.
I have had a love affair with Chante Moore since 1990 she is all that with chips plus dip. Talent and beauty combination that is hard to compare. To say she is blessed in more ways than one is an understatement. This woman just flat out turns me on
Chante sung Luther song so well I almost threw my phone 🤳. 👋🏾. I love the way she sidestep the mic holding that note 🎵🎶 & bow to Luther. That was beautiful 💣🔥🔥🔥🔥😍❤️
For Anybody who Really knows vocals,,,,,, This lady Should Go down I History As the Greatest Female singer in The World today/&/from the Best life2 far As Women Singers goes..... RealTalk
She sure is! Fell in love with her as soon as I heard her 1st single Love's Taken Over. Was pleasantly surprised to hear gorgeous whistling after buying her 1st album. Rushed to buy the 2nd one when it came out. Let me just say, I could let both her album sides play straight through without rewinding or fast forwarding. Memories! Lord I'm 47 now Lol
This is the Chante' I fell in love with. Mesmerizing!!!! The tone, the range of your voice so pure and clear, the sound of an angel. I'll always love you Chante' you'll always be my favorite. Just waiting for you to come back with this presence again! So classy and just being true to you! Songs like "This Moment is Mine" and "Listen to my Song" to name a few, showcase your gorgeous voice. The stage is your platform, your home, because unlike many other singers, you are even better live!!!
Chante! Yes ma'am, YOU are SO AMAZING! This is what I love about this woman, she's just graceful! She could have easily taken this song and made it her own, but because this is a "tribute" to the one and only Mr. Vandross, she chose to sing it with grace -- the LUTHER way! Ms. Moore you are GORGEOUS!
I put this on my playlist to listen to over & over again. Not only is Chante' beautiful, but her voice is so soothing. RiP to my favorite male singer -- Luther Vandross😢
Wow! I never thought I'd love a tribute version of So Amazing as much as I love Whitney's, but Chante's ranks right up there with Whitney. And the added pluses here: Chante sings the whole song (Whitney sang a snippet of it), and Chante pulls a Diva mode with hitting the Whistle register, then bowing while holding the whistle note, and coming back to the mic still holding that note like a Boss! I could definitely listen to a whole album of Chante and Whitney in her prime singing covers of Luther classics!
Definitely! This is wonderful. I remember Whitney's tribute too and loved it. Coincidentally I had 2 albums of both ladies. I played both sets back and forth back then. 2 of my favorite artists! Miss Whitney
@@cornellpolain8929 That's true! Also with versuz being hyped up today, I can't think of anyone to be in veruz with Chante'. Maybe not the largest catelogue of music, but her voice and music are in a league of its own
Chante is so slept on man..her voice is so heavenly...reminds me of a newer Diana Ross.....I didn't know she could hit high notes like Mariah till R&B divas.
I think she has the perfect voice for this song....She and Luther are the only two people I've ever heard sing this song so well that I tingled inside.
Thank you for this video. This is the one I was referring to when I saw the capela one Chante has. This performanced impressed me like no other. Grace, confidence, so smooth. A voice you can listen to all day. Each rendition is fantastic sung by Chante. You don't have to bypass, and skip pass the less than great songs as you do with other singers.
