You know, It was certainly a hoot to see how much fun everyone was having on the video... THEN, I listened without video and really, really reveled in this voluptuous arrangement! Saw this "lineup" last summer and it surely compares to many others I have heard over the past 20 years. Sometimes less IS more - Thank you SO MUCH, gentlemen for your ardent enthusiasm, brilliant talents and enduring commitment to a cappella perfection! My heart is full of joy...

Well done Lads! BTW, the shot swiggin bro at 2:20 looks like Pippin at the Green Dragon watching Samwise reacquaint himself with Rosie.

And here I thought I had all of Gene's acapella arrangement recordings! I almost contracted him for an arrangement of Bell Carol in the mid-90s, but the timing didn't work out because of his previous commitments to this new group of singers out of San Anselmo at the time! ❤️ When was this arrangement done??

I couldn’t place where I heard this song from.. till I saw a comment about ‘snowman’ and then I remembered that we had the video of a children’s book when Jonathan was little.. very nice story , video , relaxing .. no dialogue.. just great music.. Chanticleers and Matthew Knickman are fantastic.. always a great holiday show..

What an antidote to the screechie "Christmas music" one hears in malls, stores, and elsewhere this time of year! Love this! Our holiday season kicks off with a vintage DVD of Chanticleer recorded in the Metropolitan Museum of Art! Sublime!
