Megacon 2023 has arrived in Orlando! Megacon is the ultimate fan event featuring celebrities, artwork, gaming, and attractions for comic, sci-fi, horror, anime, and fantasy fans. The event runs Thursday to Sunday with Friday and Saturday being full event days from 10am to 7pm. This year Megacon featured celebrities such as Hayden Christensen, Rosario Dawson, James McAvoy, Chevy Chase, Gwendoline Christie, and many more! The event also features voice actors, comic creators, cosplayers, and tattoo artists.
This year we attended James McAvoy's panel, he spoke a lot about Split and Glass. There were a couple of questions about The Chronicles of Narnia as well. James McAvoy plays Dennis/Patricia in Split, Bill Denbrough in IT, and young Professor Charles in X-Men. The panel (The Professor is in: Meet James McAvoy) was at 11:30am in the main theater, located in the north concourse.
We had photo ops with James McAvoy and Hayden Christensen. We met Hayden Christensen at C2E2 in 2021 however plexiglass was used for the photo op. This time we were allowed to hug him. As always, the photo ops were behind schedule. This year Megacon did not have a good structure for their photo op schedule and line organization. In the end, it was worth it but hopefully next year the schedule can remain on time.
