@@BearfootMiniatures certainly did, I’d not given much thought to magic items for my army but you guys have got me thinking now.

Peak fantasy there aswell: mind games are the thing that need increasing the most now magic items are seen and no dice based magic phase!

My view just comes from what Im going to want them to go bashing and its usually the enemies hardest unit! Good shout on the Ogroids! I actually love the lost kingdom models aswell such nice models!

Definately agree with you on the Iron deamon based on not only that but even just teh output of organ gun types (ive been using them recently rather than just facing them with my cav and... underwhelming tbh) The levies banner not worth it for 25pts! Man the hobnobs are so cheap, would love to have such a banner in other armies with high cost normal troops and low cost levies, any particular reason youve not found it useful?

@BearfootMiniatures a few reasons. With all the artillery and other special stuff I find I end up only taking a few units of dwarfs. Who have a leadership of 9 anyway, by the time I'm consistently failing a Ld test the numbers I'mlooking for are so low a re roll is not going to help much. I don't find I've needed a BSB. So far it's never been useful. which means to take Levies banner it's not just 25pts it's that + the 60pts for the character to carry it. And when giving banners to units like the Infernal Guard I find the Ashen Banner or War Banner get more ban for their buck. That and I've found the Khan in the Hobgoblins makes their leadership high enough to hang around for a turn or two. And I've mostly just used them as a screen to bate other units into fighting and pulling them into range of my slower moving Dwarves by having them fall back or flee. I'd guess though it really depends on your style of play too. For me I've not found it worth it. Other who employ different tactics might find it useful.

Your right on a model by model basis definitely but with how im reading it will stack within model as it specifically says use the highest of two models (?!) (sorry I cant remember exactly what we said)

If you’re taking it in a chaos dwarf army, you take from the chaos dwarf magic item selection. If you’re taking it in O&G you take from the O&G magic item selection

Eh interesting, on reading it after reading this it probably works as you say (though surely its not intended to have them limit the Iron deamon to 3" move!

Hey mate: ive been reading it as magic resistance doesnt stack model to model but does on the same model as it qualifies in the next statement what to do when 2 models have magic resistance

@@BearfootMiniatures it depends on how you read it. For me P108, the note written in italics reads to be as the following: This rule is not cumulative, as in it does not stack, ever. The second sentence clarify what to do if a unit has multiple sources of MR. I can see your interpretation, but I don't think it's the right one. The "if" is implying to me that there should be situations where the if-statement doesn't apply such as multiple sources of MR on a singular model.
