the transition from Terry's Taxidermy to Dr. Sunshine Is Dead sounds like Terry got up and started monologuing to the people at his funeral sijghsgjhagljkh

having Dr. Sunshine after Terry's taxidermy really makes it as if he jumped out of his coffin started laughing then playing the church piano and singing. I love it.

The transition from Terry's taxidermy to Dr sunshine is dead really makes it seem like Terry's mangled half taxidermied corpse fell out the casket then came back to life and started stage preforming at his own funeral

Anybody who puts a Lemon Demon, Will Wood and the Tapeworms, or a Jukebox the Ghost song in any playlist has my respect

I love how each of these songs feels like it's describing a distinct character, who has their own story, but fits into the same universe as the others. I'd love to see someone try and create a story that incorporates all the ideas in each one of these songs. That's a bit of a big ask, I suppose, but I'd love to see it done.

Finally--a playlist as unstable as me. *I SHOULD BE SCARED I KNOW MOST OF THE SONGS BUT I'M SO HAPPY IT WASN'T SLIGHTLY EDGY POPULAR MUSIC*

this might be my special interest speaking, but a lot of these songs really remind me of Don't Starve. like, "Welcome To The Circus" reminds me of Charlie and her cheery descent into insanity and becoming the Queen of the Constant and treating the survivors as just "silly clowns" to laugh at. "Dr. Sunshine Is Dead" reminds me of Maxwell's descent into madness when he became a puppet to Them with all the lyrics about being afraid of the dark and whatnot, questioning his own descisions and abandoning his old persona. the lyric "And if dreams can come true, what does that say about nightmares?" really makes me think about how it was his dream to become a fantastic magician, but with the discovery of black magic, it devolved into a horrific nightmare that lead him to hurt the ones he cared about the most. anyway, these songs are bangers

Their job was done, no need to remove of the body, their employer would handle that dirty work. They had more work to do now, thus they opened the door, gave the corpse one last glance, and left. In the rebel's last moment he let out one single tear, for his family that he knew would be next. It was only a matter of time before they learned where they lived.

"Now hurry up! Why did we cause a distraction in the first place? To set fire to the government building in town square!" You reminded them, before stepping on the gas A cackle filled the air in front of the burning building, before fading into a distant memory as people flooded out, their screams talking the place of the laughter.
