Come with me on this walk thru tour of this Chaparral 320 Signature Cruiser. This 2003 Chaparral Express is well powered by twin Volvo 5.7 Gi engines, 320 HP Ea. Along with the good metal Volvo Duo-Prop out-drives. For power away from shore, there is a 5 KW generator and a separate 2000 Watt inverter with 4 new batteries for all of your needs.
We start at the bow along the starboard side checking out the lines of this most popular express cruiser. The vessel is well equipped with a spotlight, windlass, and a fore deck cushion. The vessel also features a custom hardtop with a full Camper Back enclosure, and forward windows.
Coming to the transom we make note of the features that make the vessel enjoyable and more fun to use such as an extended swim platform with boarding ladder and a shower to rinse off with. A convenient wet bar features solid-surface counter-top, sink and ice maker.
Seating to Port there is a settee and forward is an aft facing lounger that is always a favorite. To Starboard there is a large seating bench with table that can also be used as a base to make a sun pad. At the helm there is companion seating to stay close to the operator. The bi level helm is tan gel coated to reduce glare.
Access to enjoy the fore deck is safe over the aggressively tracked stairs and raised handrail. We can use either the included lounge pads for sunning or put out some deck chairs and enjoy the scenery.
We enter the air conditioned cabin thru a center line door into the cabin. The galley is to starboard and is well appointed with all the appliances you’ll need, granite like countertop and cherry wood cabinets.
Immediately to port there is a “breakfast” table with seating (converts to sleeper) and forward there is a large circular seating area with a solid Cherrywood table on a lift that can easily be lowered and converted to a sleeping area.
The head is fiberglass lined head with a vanity, mirrored medicine cabinets a hatch.
The master cabin features a door, entry vanity with room to stand, a seat, a cedar mirrored locker and a full size double bed.
In all, the finish and materials Chaparral has used on this vessel are impressive: there are solid wood tables and trim, Leatherette upholstery and upgraded vinyl wall coverings and headliner.
