“Could go to hell, but we’ll probably be fine.” One line but it’s impact is huge. It is through art like this that Queer people begin to heal. You’re a star, Chappell 💫
There's no such thing as "queer people". The idea of sexual orientation is a completely fictional new concept that no society had ever heard of until it was invented as a hoax in the late 20th century. There is no record in history of any woman being "straight" or "gay". It's nonsense.
So I just recently discovered her as well. I’m HOOKED. She said her look is inspired by her love and respect for Drag Queens, who she has open her shows. She has the perfect vocals for that 80’s pop sound and I’m so excited to see it coming back to mainstream.
People will watch this in years to come and assume she had to rent the street out so she could run around like that unnoticed, she’s going to be the next huge superstar and I actually feel emotional watching this knowing how much she’s blown up in such a short space of time ⭐️
I get emo whenever I think about how she's been putting this gorgeous music out for YEARS and I would have probably never known if she hadn't started to blow up online. Like how could I have missed out on this artist and what other artists are we missing out on?
@@wPatrickSF I wish I was born then. But fortunately Chappell is giving us a sort of throwback and I can dance to these bops with people of my generation
I only discovered her songs like 3 days ago and I’m absolutely hooked, playing them all on repeat. As a millennial several years older than her, watching her music videos makes me emotional. It’s like … here is this younger woman living out her queerness and femininity so BOLDLY and joyfully in this tumultuous political setting, yet with such a mature understanding of inner turmoil and heartbreak-it’s incredibly humbling and beautiful to see and makes me want to cry. Thank you Chappell!
I could have commented the same comment, I’m in the same boat. I’ve already shed several happy tears watching her videos. And she looks like the first girl I was ever in love with. It’s all very healing for me.
Y here, and she brings me hope. Not for myself, that ships has sailed long ago and I guess I am over it, but for the kids. They deserve this and much more.
It is unbelievable that this song has been out since 2022 and I only just got to experience her music. Thanks to my best friend for introducing me, I'm obsessed!
i'm literally so proud i could cry...i've been a listening since the actual beginning. this is such a freakin banger of a comeback song!! we love you!!!!!!!!
Everything about this song and music video is fantastic! The different cinematography, NYC, and Chappell’s unbridled enthusiasm and dancing. I really like this new direction in her music. Way to go, Chappell!
I listened to The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess back in October of last year to prep for Chappell opening for Olivia, I didn’t realize how long most of these singles had been out. kicking myself for not hearing about her earlier
“i’d love if you knew you were on my mind” that line is amazing 🤩 i love it and am so glad i found chappell, especially because of this song. You’re a star, Chappell 💫
I love everything about the aesthetic of this video!!!! The quality of the picture but the quality of the videography! Such relevant themes of content (singing and dancing) but the fashion! Im in love with thisusic video
I know its obvious but I'd say it again, her music is like a place to belong for me,such a comfy space where i don't feel the weight of being queer, but the joy of it. I love what she's providing the world with❤
You and Ryan did an amazing job! Soooo much fun - love the clothes, and the locations(iconic architecture framed beautifully) And yes, Finally, a practical use for sidewalk scaffolding 😆
