I think stan culture is a big part of the energy of what you’re referencing here. Of course a lot is Chappell’s own power and of her music. But I struggle with stan culture. Maybe/probably it’s a generational issue. And that’s coming from a person who’s lived through little monsters (I was one), the hive, arianators, the navy, swifties etc. But Chappell’s fanbase… they have an unhinged quality that is hard to put into words. They feel they’re about to explode. I don’t know.

But like im happy abt it - tears of pure joy
