From Chaps Choir's first public appearance at the Union Chapel bar, July 11th 2013. Chaps Choir began in April 2013 and by July 35 chaps, many who had never sang in a choir before, took to the stage to perform.

Fantastic rendition of this piece....the laughing is appropriate, because the words obviously were written to affirm the irony involved in being in love.

Been singing 45 years (Classical, musical theatre, jaz, pop, choral etc etc ) - the truth and honesty in these lovely voices is moving to the core. Thank you - what a wonderful wonderful way to start a choir.

I don't ever remember this song before....but it must have caught me at an emotional moment in time...as it brought a tear to my eye.....certainly a beautifully sung rendition from the Chaps.....

Brilliant! I think the laughter is because quite a few of the audience have never heard this beautiful song before,and the first few lines are definitely different! I have seen this happening in other performances of "The Book of Love".

people saying "why are the audience laughing?" because it's funny. the song was always considered to be amusing before peter gabriel came along stuck some strings on it and changed it's meaning.
