For my friends who didn't get Q17, I can give a rough explanation. Since 3 is the lowest prime factor of 'a' so( a=3×any odd no.) as any prime factor above 3 is not even. So this makes 'a' an odd no. Similarly b is also an odd no. So when we add two odd numbers it gives an even no. Thus the prime factor of a+b(even) is 2

@@singhisking7352 here is the correct explanation so basically u take two variables which are 'a' and 'b'. Now as told in the ques, the lowest prime factor of a is 3. That means (a=3×any odd no.) since all no. are product of prime factors and no prime factor above 2 is even. So a is an odd no.(3×odd no. = odd no.) Similarly b is also an odd no. as its lowest prime factor is 7 which is again odd and thus (b=7× odd no.) And thus b is odd. Now (a+b)=(odd no. + odd no.) And we know adding two odd no. is equal to an even no. So a+b= even. And thus, the prime factor of a+b is 2(Since all even no. Are multiple of 2) Srry but i only got the rough explanation for now and no mathematical proof

SIR THE WAY U SOLVED QUESTION 24 IS NOT PROPER ( EXACT ANSWER IS BELOW ) Let the HCF be x LCM=HCF+900 LCM=x+900 --(1) And LCM+HCF=1260 LCM+x=1260 --(2) From (1) and (2) (x+900)+x=1260 2x+900=1260 2x=1260−900 2x=360 x= 2 360 x=180 HCF =180 And, from (1), LCM=HCF+900 LCM=180+900 LCM=1080 By formula, product of the numbers is equal to the product of their HCF and LCM. Product of numbers =HCF×LCM =180×1080 Product =194400

Although the answer to question no 24 is right, the process is wrong as sir have taken Hcf as 1260 while the question say hcf+lcm is 1260. For the right process follow the given steps: *Step by Step Explanation* Given : The sum of hcf and lcm of two numbers is 1260. LCM + HCF = 1260 And their LCM is 900 more than HCF LCM=HCF+900 Substituting the above equation and solving HCF+LCM=1260,which can be written as HCF+(HCF+900)=1260 2HCF=1260-900 2HCF=360 HCF=360÷2 HCF=180 Hence, HCF=180 LCM=180+900 =1080 NOW, HCF×LCM= 1080×180 =194400

@@sonalisaini6090 When 3 is the least Prime Factor of some (a) Number, obviously 2 is not a factor of such a Number and thus we can conclude that the Number is odd. So we can say that a = 2n+1 for some n. Similarly when 7 is the least Prime Factor of another (b) Number, obviously 2 is not not a factor of that Number and again we can conclude that that Number also is odd. So we can say that b = 2k - 1 for some k. Adding a +b gives: a + b = 2n + 1 + 2k -1 a + b = 2(n+k) It is immaterial what the real values of n and k are, we can see 2 as a factor there. And thus the least Prime Factor of (a+b) is clearly 2! So 2 is the required answer. 😇👍
