Chapter 2 | Taylor 

Those of you who know how much I hate hearing my voice, knows how painful this was for me to edit but it felt right since it was my personal feelings. It’s 2AM and I’ll probably regret making this cringey video in the morning but I thought about it for months. I just couldn’t find the motivation to make it but I finally felt a spark big enough for me to complete it. Thank you to BTS for the inspiration and to you for watching my mess of thoughts and I hope something good comes out of my chapter 2 🥲

I’m starting my chapter 2 at 52 & I often think to myself “Can I do this shit?” (Of course I hear the question in Hobi’s voice lol) So thank you Taylor for posting this & for using your voice. I can't tell you how much I relate. Part of the reason the Festa dinner was SO painful to me was because I felt like they were indirectly calling me out for being a coward for not having the courage to make hard changes in my own life. It was really really distressing. I still haven't made the changes even though I think about them. So, your video matters Taylor! Thank you for posting it. I hope you continue to make progress on yourself and chase the creative dreams that you have.

Your plight feels so familiar to me. I too am going through a series of mini-crisis as I begin to introspect on my current life -- being a 37-year-old who had been laid off from my once stable job and having to go back to college in an attempt at "reinventing" myself. It's been stressful, lonely, and, often, feels like a lost cause... because once a failure always a failure, right? It feels like I will never find out what truly makes me happy or successful... or even if those two things correlate with one another. Nowadays, the things that bring me joy are things that don't feel like viable means for a future. By whose standard, I couldn't tell you. I just get this nagging feeling that what I am working towards right now, does not feel right for me... but I'm in too deep to jump out now. So thank you for being so brave and voicing your concerns. I get it. I totally get it. What an honor to hear your story; I wish you all the luck in your future endeavors and hope you find what brings you true joy. 💜

It's okay to feel lost at some point, as long as you find the way back to yourself. Last year was really tough for me and living far away from my family made it even worse...If it wasn't BTS, I don't know, where I'd be right now. They helped me to enjoy life more and love myself. Still, due to my insecurities I lost track of the things I really used to love, i.e. doing Taekwondo and playing the piano. But I really want to change it now! I want to find the way back to my old self that used to live passionately. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! It really inspired me to do better and make something out of my life ✨️ Let's enjoy our journey of Chapter 2 together 😊💜

This is great! Inspiring and so well put together. Just remember life (at every stage...I guess I'm in my 3rd chapter now lol) isn't always roses so there will always be struggles, we have to not let those keep us from seeing the good things all around us too. This is beautiful and expressing your thoughts definitely can be your form of art. I’m sure that your words (& lovely voice) resonated with a lot of people & made them feel not alone. Sometimes we just have to inch our way out of our comfort zone, which often makes us feel better with each move. This is the start of your chapter 2. As you go through life, you will have several chapters, some with passion & some not. Do not beat yourself up for not having dreams or sense of self at this time (you’re still young - how many times have you heard that?😂). There are many people who develop that sense as they experience life, many changing as life goes on. You haven’t been on this earth long enough to know that. In the meantime, do what makes you happy & what gives you moments of pleasure-surely BTS helps! Relax if you can. But the most important thing is to ‘do you!’ 🥰😊

Ugh, this was so awesome bc I also relate. I’ve been wanting a chapter 2 too but haven’t had the courage to do big steps. Lately it’s been smaller ones but it’s better than nothing. I wish you a happy journey and hope you have peace and growth. Thanks for sharing! 💜
