Chapter 3: Resurrection (Fan Animated) 

The amount of spite to resurrect someone just to say “fuck you” is a mood.

Just imagine being resurrected and then being forced to listen to your own diss track

Duke: "I love being in the land of the dead, I never wanna leave!" Missi: "hold my beer"

fun fact: if you pay attention, this is essentially a reverse version of episode 1, as most of missi’s actions are like a parallel of duke’s in the night

Duke looks at camera. "I never asked for this."

I love that girl.... she loves being evil, but she does it in style ❤️

I love how the dress design is so perfect for exaggerating when she sways her hips in those little bop moments XD

Missy: "Do you really enjoy living a life that's so hateful?" Also Missy: *literally* *throws* *away* *her* *human* *life* *just* *for* *revenge*

Gotta say, love the look of panic on his face when he realizes he is actually in danger lol

At first I was surprised by the song choice, but I think it suits Missi. We know from the fact she was reading Twilight that she's a teenage girl from the modern era, or at least *was* a modern teen before her encounter with Duke. Most modern teenage girls don't listen to dark carabet, but many of them listen to pop, so it makes sense for pop to be playing while she is in control. I think it helps convey the fact that Missi is control this time: she gets to 'choose' the music because she's the one pulling the strings.

I have been a long-time fan of this series, but just noticed how much detail was put into this animation like 1.) Most of Missy's actions are similar to what Duke did in the first animation 2.) When Missy turns on the light at the beginning, she also opens the curtain so that Duke won't pull the same trick she used on him 3.) A long time has passed since the first ep probably because she needed to get used to the power and learn more about Duke (Like how he has daddy issues) 4.) The fact that the castle was clean in the first ep, but slightly dusty in this animation shows the personality of the characters 5.) The way the castle is dusty but the bag Missy brought is even dustier shows how uninterested she is in returning to Melisa (I might be wrong in some of this, but it was still fun looking for details)

1:49 was one of the best 4th wall breaks I've seen in years!

Her: "Sure, you're a villain, but are you a SUPER VILLAIN?!"

2:11 anyone realize she was using her middle finger while playing

1:48 That slow head turn by the Duke, silently asking _"Is she f'kn serious? I got resurrected for THIS?"_ is pure life~🤣🤣🤣

That.. was incredible. Missi literally just summoned Duke back to mess with him. I love it

She resurrected him to just annoy and diss him also I love how in the first one he leaned on his staff and stared at her and now she did the exact same

So the power of the scepter can give you two things: - Turns you into a vampire - Gives you eternal shimmy dance moves

Missi and Duke: are in possession of an incredibly powerful staff that could probably be used to transcend reality *Also Missi and Duke: Use the staff to put on bomb-ass musical performances and just all together fuck with each other*

Missi’s level of pettiness is that I strive for in life

Headcanon that Duke was singing so loudly about how great being dead is that Missi could hear it

Between these two is like a never ending contest of who's the biggest theatrical drama queen

I love how at 2:16 Duke feels genuine fear and concern for whats going to happen.

Duke's slow turning stare at 1:49 like "Can you believe this chic?"

Missi lighting the hall at 00:37 the same way Duke did in The Night is an extra slap in the face I can appreciate. XD

So she resurrected him just so she could kick him out of his own house, that is hilarious

The face the duke makes when missi said the line " you say we need to go to war when were already in one "

Friendly reminder that she befriended all of the demons, set up the rooms, and planned out where he would try to escape, studied how to bring him back, and *then* dunked the hell out of him. I really love how she pretty much moves like the dracula guy here. Either evil gotta have a springy flamboyant step or she is doing it for extra level of mockery.

Gotta love the parallels between The Night and this one, with Missi doing a lot of the poses and actions that he did to her when they first met

I can just imagine Missy choreographing all of this, rehearsing and rehearsing during her free times between hunting up the ingredients for the resurrection, so that when she does succeed in resurrecting him, she can do the entire number like a boss. Missi: This will be where I'll put the cauldron- And when he steps out /here/ I'll jump down over /there/ and start singing the chorus- And /here/- *Marks spot where she'll break the floor* Is where I'll herd him to be dropped through a hole into the cellar-

I love how Duke responds like he doesn't deserve this level of melodrama when, 1) he absolutely does, and 2) this is the exact level of melodrama he employs on a regular basis.

It’s also funny how Missy walks up the skull stairs just to walk down again, for the dramatic effect 😂

I noticed Duke would look towards us every now and then.. like he knows the we are watching the whole thing.. I honestly think that is pretty cool.

Wait... she summoned him to just throw him out of the house???

Whats even more hilarious is that since he's a vampire, he can't get back in unless he's invited. And he ain't!!!! 😆

One thing to take away from this, vampires are show offs. Jokes aside, this was fantastic! I especially liked how her backpack was still in the same spot as the first video but now with webs. Little details like that are awesome. The way the story is coming together is amazing and I bet the next part will be awesome too.

I love how this is essentially a role reversal of "The Night" with Missi toying with Duke every second and it is absolutely glorious to watch. Also, I love the reference to the portrait of Voltaire at "You want to be like your father" as Missi and Duke go down the rabbit hole to hell together.

Anybody else thing she both looks like she's having fun but also looks amazing in that Victorian era dress from part one?

I’ll say it again: these two are an example of *perfectly characterized* characters. I love the way Missy makes fun of Duke and the faces he makes. I’ve also appreciated all the references to the first chapter and the fact that Voltaire is actually Duke’s father. Keep going with this series Daria, this is my favourite chapter so far!

That dig about his father hurts so much more when we learn that he wanted to be nothing like his father.

Kills him. Brings him back. Kicks him out. Sounds like every relationship ever

I have to laugh, since I just came from "Land of the Dead" and he makes the specific comment "No, you can't take that from me." Next animation, he goes from the lap of demonic luxury to being shamed and kicked out of his own house into the rain. That's exactly what happened and the revenge is so sweet.

The fact that she resurrected him so he wouldn't be happy in hell and just to make him miserable on earth because hes imortal is just key petty and PERFECT Love missi

I love the way Missi moves. It's this perfect, graceful type of movement, but everything she does has this cute little shimmy to it that looks so fun. She's a biotch, and LOVING IT.

The line about Duke wanting to be like his father seems interesting now since we see how much he was disgusted by his own father. Makes me wonder how much Missi knows about the relationship given we don't know how much time she's been in that house by herself studying the books, magic, and mastering the cane's powers.

I find it rather interesting that she hasn't touched her backpack after all this time. Gaining cobwebs and gathering dust. Originally, she was rather concerned for her belongings. Makes one ponder if the staff is controlling her or if she's simply abandoned her past for the newfound power she's obtained. Amazing Job! Keep up the good work!

this is petty on a whole different level. yes he tormented her in the first one but she already had her vengeance by literally killing him and she had quite literally trespassed on his property..... now she pulls him from the underworld to taunt him and kick him out of his own house? Have you guys noticed on The Night, the castle had a red surrounding but in this one the castle had a red AND a purple surrounding? Nice add on Daria!! I love it so much and the song actually fits!!

My favorite part of this series is the expressions on the characters faces, they perfectly capture what they're thinking in the most hilarious and awesome way.

2 things I loved about this video: A) Missi being so savage and petty, she brings the duke back from the grave just to fuck with him the same way he did to her because she knows he doesn't deserve to be livin it up in the underworld. B) the Duke's face looking at the camera like "what the actual fuck I leave my castle for five minutes and this manic twilight reading pixie struttin' around and singing telling me to fuck myself like the the bitch queen of freaking Sheba what the fuck even is my life right now?"

At 1:59 Missi gives Duke the same look he gave her in the first episode, the tormentor becomes the tormented. (Edit) Now that I'm re watching this when I'm not as tired can I just say how in love I am with how Missi's dress is animated.

He went from having his own castle and antagonizing a mortal girl with a musical number, to being killed by her and becoming lord of the underworld (with a musical number) then being resurrected by that same girl, having that girl antagonize *him* while doing her *own* musical number just to end up getting kicked out of his own castle. This has got to be the most insulting and humiliating thing that's ever happened to him and i love it! XD

I love how he tries to avoid the fear and get his staff, but he still is afraid of Missi, he knows very well what that staff is capable of

I like the evolution of Missi and Duke she started out just wanting to read her vampire novel and was clever enough to get out of Duke's hands. now she is stuck in the castle probably bored out of her mind while Duke is enjoying his time in the land of the dead. she probably started messing with getting him back to have some kind of goal and some entertainment. and Duke must be pissed. he was ripped back from Luxury only to be teased and assaulted and thrown out of his own castle. however, now that Duke is back will he plot to get his cane back? when he eventually gets it. does Missi turn back to human form? will she die? Will Duke stay the charismatic tease from The Night after this? and you know I had to ask even if I dont like it. Will they get together? or better, have a love hate relationship?
