@@GoingNativeMedia when I was in my 20s, they were golden years, like diamonds, I would hike a lot in those days of my younger self, chasing fish all over the Northwestern side of the USA. I always would say. "Recon and Discover" was later modified to "Recon, Release & Remember" , good times always

@@CalledCollectiveMedia There all magnificent and wonderful, each one provided it's own unique and special experience. . For me in that time of life, my best times on the water was when I was just starting out, I knew nothing but I had hunger to learn and explote ( I still do) I lived in Seattle in the mid 90's, The Olympic Peninsula Elwaa River, Yakama River and that drainage around Mount Adams, 3 Sisters Bend, OR, Central ID and Wind River and Big Horn WY. I Now I gravitate to ID and WY and MT, however I live in TX, so those trips logistically are not easy, I go for 8 week each year hit it hard. More local I fish NM and CO to satisfy my fly fishing additions and passions feeding fish and hunting them to observe their beauty. So may outstanding place, you can see then in yoru lifetime. Hope that provide you some gainful Insight and inspiration.

Ian, You bring up a very interesting dichotomy forsure. I’ve always wanted to head out east and chase them in their native ranges. They are a very cool species that are treated like the “red headed stepchild “ haha.

@@CalledCollectiveMedia If you go out east, you gotta come to Maine and fish some of our wild native Brook Trout ponds. Most of them require a long drive down dirt roads and miles of hiking, seeing very little pressure. The fishing is much more difficult than in rivers or streams. But the fish can be gargantuan. The largest caught I've seen photos of this year was 27"X17" estimated weight of over 8 pounds. Would have challenged the wild brookie state record.

@@CalledCollectiveMedia I’ll keep looking. Try to make it up to the White River in Ar. It is an amazing fishery. Has 20-40in depending of spawn, conditions and management but also stockers to keep up fishing. Keep the vids coming
