I hope you get other acting jobs, I went to NY for a ballet summer camp and we wanted to see an extra show and we bought Paramour. Let me just say, it was a breathtaking show and Ruby was an amazing actress and your singing is too beautiful to be missed, I got shivers everytime Ruby sang.
It still blows my mind that Ruby came to our school (her old high school, Shelby County High School) to talk to us about acting and not long after was on Broadway! She is so amazing and humble and deserves all the parts!
DSM Productions (official) she would be wearing a wig most likely even if she was a redhead. Most if not all female roles on Broadway wear a wig. Can't expect them to have perfect hair for 2 hours lol
She seems really cool (and hot). I'm glad the show is coming back in April 2019 in Hamburg, Germany! Hope she is part of the cast! I saw the original show Paramour was based on, Iris, loved the Danny Elfman score! I also hope Cirque du Soleil brings Iris back as a Vegas or touring show!
DSM Productions (official) It's just a hair color though, your hair color doesn't have any connection to your personality. Even if it did, I saw her live and she did a fantastic job.
Yukiko Why do it though, it's wasting money on things us small actors don't get to wear, every redhead I know is hyper and rebellious so hair is everything
I know even if they did pick a redhead to play Indigo, they still would put a wig on her. Broadway dressers and wig makers force wigs anyways to not damage the actors hair. They obvi gave her the part for her talent, despite it. Even though she is a blonde, they saw her as the character she auditioned for, which happens to be a redhead. I guess it is a waste to use the wigs, but it protects the hair from damage everynight.
Grabiela Mancillas A real redhead surely has that style so it oukdnt be damaging and a blondes personality is different so they couldn't be in the slightest convincing
