That super rebuilt 1968 Charger won the prize "Sweden's Most Beautiful Car" a few years ago. Great car, my dad and Johan are good friends and my dad also has a Charger, a 1970, blue one.
I have to agree, the charger would look amazing with proper sized tires, non toyish looking wheels, and the blower through the hood... kind of ruins the look of the car. I t would seem from reading the top comments on here, everyone hates the rims. however.. with that being said, his car, if he likes it.. more power to him. pretty brave man to ruin the look of an amazing car... but his to ruin.
Hmmm a good DBS blower is nice, you know the ones from fast and furious, I fully support that kind of blower only. Not too high simple and clean. I also dont like the rims and i find it too lowered. I dont mind the fat beefy rear tire but the front should not be too skinny too
It's not really lowered a lot at this point because rims are so large they probably larger than stock wheels + tires. I could say, 20" on the back, 19" front are very maximum for the Charger.
Holy Hannah! Talk about making you tingle in all the right places. With the Charger I was "it roared", then the Viper lit up and and I was "Holy Crap! It's alive and MAD!"

@@reecethomas8070 actually the charger won the race. Oh and the speed limit on your dash isnt actually the top speed. There are countless of videos where cars go past it.
I hope that was a joke. The first Challenger EVER was the 1970. Even the Charger looked completely different to this in 1967. This one is a '68 Charger, the first second-generation Charger and easily distinguished by the non-split grille and the round tail-lights.
I loved all my mopars growing up and had many. Could pick-em up for 500 bucks during my school days. None as nice as this charger. Good to see old steel going against the high tech of today. No hole shot for the charger. Unusual to see that. Usually it's the vipers spinning the wheels. I got a 09 viper and it is prone to traction problems the more I lay into the pedal.
Okay to sum up, they basically took a 68 charger and placed a 69 front on it and a 70 back leaving everything else apart of a 68 charger. so they built a charger with 3 models in one, a 68, 69 and a 70. My charger's chassis number is a 68 model but has a 70 body placed on it.
That charger is awesome. The rims make that car. Who ever is bashing the rims it has that old school new school look. Don't be a hater because you ain't driving it.
Dom drove a 70 charger. I've seen the interview with the head of the department for making the clones. They looked for anything for 68 to 70 charger and the guy said if they ended up with a 68 would just replace the tail lights. Last I checked 69 and 70 had similar tail lights. Only one of the cars was legit though. The rest were clones with fake blowers and some smaller crate engines.
@MrWildECoyote1 BHP actually stands for Brake Horse Power... and it refers to the wattage measured at the crank of the engine, before drivetrain loss to the wheels. It's not the same as saying "that car has 1000 horses" because you need to specify if it's WHP (Wheel Horse Power) or BHP. 1000BHP does not equal 1000 horses to the wheels. Drivetrain loss (especially 20-25% for AWD cars) will put the WHP between 700-800. Saying a car has 1000WHP means it actually has a higher BHP (at the crank).
Mopar or No-car... That Charger is sick, and for everybody complaining about the rims, they look like Cragar's. I think the problem is everybody expects slicks on this car.
You have to remember the Viper is more sophisticated and makes the same sort of power stock that the worked Charger does. Just because somethings nice and lumpy and has a blower sticking out the bonnet doesn't make it faster than a quarter of a million dollar super car.
idk why people are hating on the viper, its the 5th fastest car in the world thats gonna be made in 2013, hell id kill to have either one of those cars
I think it's more of an acquired taste. Personally, I like its lope. Mainly because you know that something that sounds like that will probably be pretty beastly haha
They're both made by Dodge. It looked like the Viper was ahead of the Charger though. Can't say who won for sure, as there isn't any footage of the cars crossing the finish line.
There was very little Charger left in that Charger. Had it been able took hook up, it may have gave the Viper a good run, but c'est la vie, the Viper kicked it's ass.
Ok let's evaluate this video! Positives + That's a super nice Charger you got there! Negatives - Only the last 20 seconds would have been fine.. The quality could have been much better. And you could have let us know who won
