Team Boddie’s “No Excuses” race event in Sacramento, California was filled with some WILD cars! The pits were filled full of fresh builds of grudge racers, radial cars, and test & tune racers looking to get some track time and precious data early in the racing season. Unfortunately there was a nasty wreck but thanks to the wonders of proper safety equipment, the drive was able to walk away unscathed proving yet again the importance of it in the sport. Yea AWD is more grip but scarier when spinning goes all over in some cars. AWD + Spinning = No steering

Had it up to 38 psi, (insert made up horse power here) crv trans doesn't hold 1000hp let alone 1300. its just a 600hp set up MAYBE

It looks like he’s still learning to drive that car. Gonna be difficult rowing through gears in this car. Would be awesome if it had a powerglide or a th350. He’d be posting 7s on a regular basis. If the numbers are true.

I drive the Camaro that wrecked on Friday night. People keep saying that the track prep looked sketchy. I can tell you that the prep was very good all weekend, although it was slippery out of the groove and towards the 700 ft mark. I should have had the chutes out early as that would have given me a fighting chance to save the car, but no guarantees. The car is already on the jig and being repaired. Plan on getting back to Boddie's races ASAP. If you are local, you should make a point to attend. The caliber of the cars and people is very high. You WILL have a good time. @Aubrey Olson bro ask your uncle why he was crossing over the middle before he starting to actually spin I watched it in playback speed 0.25% and can see him cross over before spinning around I'm sure if he stayed in his lane it would've went smooth but that's the risk in the game of racing eh

It was ruined... Can't wait until this dirty diesel fad is over. They can keep their cancer causing particulate matter and shove it up their arses. A stock small block could have pulled the little caravan with ease. Would handle like a bucket of shit with all that extra weight and to be honest, it's not even fast. My daily i take the kids to school in is a low 10 second car. 10's are so easy to achieve these days...

He'd have to be to build it, wouldn't he? Wow, you now send 25 - 30% torque to the rear wheels. That's why it wouldn't spin all 4 off the line. Gay as fuck. I would have been more impressed to see the engine turned into a north - south set up, put a rwd trans in it and a proper diff and go rwd. At least it would be fun to drive on the street. Fwd is for cunts who are scared of getting sideways

Not sure if they prepped the track for this event or not, but they certainly do prep that track for events I have attended there in the past. I wouldn't assume no track prep because some mega horsepower cars got squirrely. .

At 8:12 the black '55 Chevy ,..i imagine this pulling up to a local drag spot in the late fifties early 1960's and launching like that, sounding like that,..wonder what on earth everyone would think. My parents are that gen , my dad bought a new '63 Corvette and had a set of race rubber and wheels in his trunk he and my mom would swap over in Bay Area California. I LOvE the entire era of muscle cars ,..just amazing to see though how damn far cars technology and performance has skyrocketed straight up in every chart! 2,500 hp in '55 Chevy!!??? 😍 the 1/4 mile times and speeds just as shocking I'm sure.

Would love to see more diesel swapped vehicles. The diesel guys are all moving away from the big trucks and into more traditional drag setups. The power is crazy. Really want to see a couple run drag week.

Its getting torn up all day, the highest HP cars try to run as early as possible cause of the cool temps but you throw in some small tire/street tire cars in there too and it really tears it up.

Im from the Bay area and ive ran my car down this track quite a few times. The prep fuckin sucks, its never that great especially back half. Its a very very small property and its hella run down. The track vehicles are like 70’s trucks and the stands are probably 10 years old or more. But WickedOne is hella cool. Love that guy. Always been nice as hell when i say hi at events

Well, the track is for sale and about to close, so you won't need to bash it any more. As for me, I will miss it. It's a friendly place, and one of the last drag strips in this part of the state.

You guys should really do a “here’s your sign” video on safety equipment and why each piece of its so important. I work at an IHRA track and get sick of hearing racers complain about safety equipment requirements, especially grudge racers. If you made a safety equipment video with some of the bad wrecks you guys have captured video of, I would end up referencing that video everyday that our track goes hot

I am not a drag racer at all but it seems logical that those heavy weight trucks have the best grip to hook on simply buy the weight they ut on the track and on the wheels. You can put a massive engine and turbo in it and you will hook on no matter what. Except when you overdue it to the extreme offcourse.. and still. Amazing!

Not to knock the track or the drivers judgement, but I'm just not sure I would take a top notch car down anything other than a full prep NHRA track. I get this is 1320 street racing but man him and a few where Damn near lucky.
