There are legitimate Kirby salesman out there but then there are your Kirby salesman out there that are entirely separate from the Kirby company that are the scammers.
Simply put, the Kirby vacuum is literally (im using the word correctly), the only vacuum that will clean your carpet, and if you disagree, i can tell you 100% that your carpet isnt clean. Sales tactics aside, if you want to know you actually got your carpet clean, the only way to know is by owning a Kirby!!! 100+ years in business with ONLY word of mouth advertising, and yes, you, have heard of it! Let that sink in.
An Riccar Supralite is the best vacuum cleaner for the elderly. It has more powerful motor than an oreck but, still a very lightweight vacuum. Kirby's are one of the best vacuums money could buy, it's a shame they used a model that is outdated and preys on people desperate for a new vacuum, does not know better, or the elderly. Electrolux use to do door to door sales then they just do free demos without actually selling the vacuum cleaner so if they do actually want it, they go to brick and mortar store such as vacuum cleaner store or SEARS to get one. Door to door selling was a good idea before online shopping.
Had them come to me too in my townhouse one summer night.. they had an incredibly beautiful young woman going to door to door ahead of them asking "can I come back and do a cleaning demo?" Being newly single and bored I said sure, I'll talk to a pretty girl for awhile.. Never saw her again. 10 minutes later, two sweaty out of breath dudes showed up and vacuumed my house for almost an hour, took my " crappy old" Dyson vacuum apart, and drank all of my Smartwaters, even used my bathroom and my wifi.. I thought it was kind of funny, then annoying, then funny again when they told me the price.. but I could see seniors expecting a harmless little woman to come back, and getting two dudes in tank tops who "inspect" and leave their vacuum in pieces and really don't want to leave without a sale, as being vulnerable. Just a shady sales technique using third parties with little oversight..
I don’t get why they still sell through door to door sales and their business style still works. Come on, it’s 2019 already, every appliance manufacturer sells online now.
"They got up a lot of sand". She should've bought a Kirby. Pathetic report, and if you don't own a Kirby, watch the demo and tell me you don't need one! I have two!!!! Can't live without them if you actually want clean carpet.
This happened to me in Trenton NJ over 20 years ago. Could not get the sales people to leave. Stayed over 2 hrs. Kirby has a serious reputation. And not one that is positive!
Kirby does have a serious reputation. Over 100 years with the only vacuum that will actually clean your carpet. Your carpet is dirty right now because you don't have a Kirby. Facts. If you like being dirty, you have a right to be! Don't shame Kirby for selling you a solution to your nastiness though! How have you been cleaning your mattress by the way??? You haven't, have you? If you saw what was in your mattress and didn't buy one you chose to be nasty for the rest of your life.
I don't know if calling kirby a scam ive had the same vacuum from the 70s they made for over 42 years its been through 3 generations of my family and never needed anything done to it so its more then paid for itself. Also i have attachments that let me use it to sand saw drill and paint stuff with normal house paint when thinned with water. If anything i would just say their door to door sales strategy is messed up but doesnt change the fact that its a good product.
I completely agree, I understand their product is very expensive but more often than not it pays for itself and they have excellent service after the fact from what I hear. My ex worked of them, showed me it, excellent product. But their sales tactics are very archaic. And their salesmen are mistreated. Its a shame that third party sellers ruin it for the company
@@EndOfTheW0rld Yeah you can still send in kirby vacuums that are over 100 years old and they will do a full factory rebuild on them for around $200 and you can get just about every part needed to rebuild one yourself to if you wanted to go that route.
Vacuum cleaner was most likely stolen and they didn't even work for Kirby. She's too old to even push a heavy vacuum.I couldn't imagine her buying a Kirby.Don't expect the news to get the story right, they don't care about he truth.
Doing a sales pitch is not a felony. That woman looks like she's broke anyway and probably can't afford much anyway. Just looking for attention no standards in what passes for jornalism.
You are rotting garbage who is polluting this board with your hellish stupidity. Hey, dummy just post the link where it says giving a sales pitch is against the law. Don't preach to me you filthy, stupid, idiot. Now take your meds lest they place you back into your straight jacket.
Kirby is made in the U.S.A. the factory is in Ohio. Again, doing a sales pitch is not against the law. You are a weak person who is easily disgusted by virtually nothing. There are a lot of real things to be "disgusted about" to the extent that a person takes action to make changes. Not simply attacking other innocent people on the internet. You are nothing to me other than an internet idiot. I'm tired of you. You have nothing of value to add.
