"range anxiety" is a thing of the past with every electric car going 200+ miles per charge. It is morphed into "charger, anxiety" because there's not enough chargers on the road. Tesla soon will change the game letting us all use their superchargers. There's a minimum of 16 to 30 at most stops.
" fast charging" very informing and appreciated !! I especially appreciate the info on the "Tesla" chargers with buit in ford adapters .....must be something recent and I guess on DC superchargers only [my ride = '23 Mach-E premium AWD extended range 91Kw battery , dual motors] and I am in = Central , Cold , Country = Winnipeg , Manitoba , Canada KEEP up informing us !!!
Loved the video! Dude was chill. The secret word Gummy Bears. I think the model x is cool. Still would never own an ev personally. Fast charging. 😉 Love ya brother and tell the family we said hello 👋
I recently went to a Tesla Supercharging station with my 2023 Mach-e. All of the stations were back-in and the cord wouldn't reach. I have that small tesla mach-e adapter but the cord wouldn't reach unless I parked sideways which would have taken 3 parking places (and chargers). Is there some sort of extension cord I can get so I can pull in forward and plug in the Mach-e?
I just ordered an adapter that is NACS to CCS for my Mach E. I see in your video that the Supercharger already had an adapter. Do you think my new adapter will work the same on the Tesla charger and not give me any issues even if the Tesla charger is not set up for my Mach E?(ie standard Tesla plug)
In this video they're using a Magic Dock Supercharger. The Ford/Tesla NACS to CCS adapter is pretty much identical to the magic dock adapter. I imagine you bought something like the A2Z adapter and that's pretty similar too. I hope you've gone and requested your free Ford adapter too! - Liv
This video didn't help me at all because I ended up with my adapter at a Tesla charging station and my Tesla app wouldn't recognize I was there, my Ford app wouldn't recognize I was there, even the EVconnect app wouldn't work for me. How is the charger supposed to know I'm there and how do I pay for the charge, I had to drive all the way to a Chevrolet dealer in terrible traffic to get a charge.
Not all Super Chargers have the Magic Dock. Most don’t. You have to use the Tesla app and the Tesla app only. When you go on the Tesla App select Charge My Non Tesla. It will show any with Magic Docks that are near your location. If it shows a Charger with a lock that means you can’t access it. As far as I’m aware you can’t use your own adapter at the Super Charger. That will change in Spring if you own a Ford Mach E or a Lightning. Hope this helps. I will make another video to be more clear.
I know nothing about electric cars, so this question may be dumb. If you ran out of electric, could someone with another electric car help you out? BTW, the secret phrase of the day is "Fast Charging".
So far, some electric trucks can with 240v, while cars can with 120v which is very, very slow. But still possible. I've also seen some do it with portable solar panels. Again, very slow, but possible.
No, it used to LOCK the car in neutral. Regen gear is activated when one pedal driving or whisper mode is enabled. It takes me 10% to get to work but with regen it takes 5%-7%.
