Actually, if you do your history, the USA has laid claim to them, to support and protect them, when they are in need of it. Plus, they are more American, then a lot of those, who say they are an American citizen, for that matter. Simply because, they are very loyal to us, for breaking them free of the "chains", that they had on them. So, they opted to become the "51st state", in a nutshell, even though, they are not considered a technical state. I read up on this, years ago. Even when I read up on it, it was a bit tricky to fully understand it, but, just think of them as another state, that is connected to us, like Alaska or Hawaii. Now, on to the other part(LOL). I agree, she has one hell of a voice! When I first saw her on "Alvin & The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel", my jaw just dropped, when I heard that large of voice come from such a small body(She is literally 4'9"s tall, my youngest niece is like a giant compared to her! lol)! I just listened to her sing our national anthem and this, which she nailed both of them, which, from friends of mine, who are musicians, told me, that those are 2 of the hardest songs to even be mediocre to hit it! She nails it every time!
