That just shows how much he wanted her transition. His voice drastically changed due to hormones. It won’t be the same and she knew that. But this just shows how important transitioning is to us. I as a transgender can tell you from experience that a lot changes. But it’s worth it in the end. And I can promise you. He is the happiest he has ever been now.
if music were like coffee drink, I am confident to say and I know a lot will agree to me that Charice's rendition of this song is the perfect blend there is. An excellent singer should not only hit every notes in a song but should connect to his/her listeners... And Charice sure did it. Best Version of this song :)
Literally the best! And I say that being a huge Kelly Clarkson fan and watching her rendition and then listening to Charice and honestly Charice was perfection.
I love when they are introducing the performers. Who would have thought the name “CHARICE” is introduced along with other big singers in the world. Those were the days.
Her voice, tone, timbre and all are all remarkable. She could have actually been bigger than most of the reigning artists nowadays. But it is his life and we cannot do anything about that. Atleast we have YT to rewatch her glorious days
@@cmabry428 She is a talented Philippine singer already at young age. She was promoted in US for a while: attended in Glee show for couple episodes, sang in after party in Hollywood show, sang video game Final Fantasy 13 theme song, etc. Unfortunately she went through terrible drama in life and turned into this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jake_Zyrus 😩😢
Charice this was an incrediable performance. It has been three years since I first heard it and I love it more than ever. We, "your fans" understand the hard fact that you are about the only one that can revive the music of the the golden era when music was real, with instruments and lyrics and stand alone performances that made the world cheer with child like enthusiam. That to me is what you can do for all mankind.
Sobrang nasasayangan talaga ako kay Charice her career was really in peak having albums guestings in US etc but she chose happiness over fame and money which is a brave thing to do. Anyway thank you for making us “ur kababayans proud”.
Charice is a combination of Whitney and Celine ❤ Power, soul and emotive ❤️ Her voice is really soothing even with the high notes. Goosebumps and got teary eyes. She can play with your emotions. I really love her so much. ❤️
I always find myself in the middle of Charice's songs, with my jaws dropping and I look dumb but I don't care, I can't help it, her voice puts me in complete awe! :')
She is truly a rarity! This talent only comes by once in a lifetime! I am so grateful to witness her sing in my lifetime! She has so much control, strength, power, range, passion and clarity in her vocals. She is the one and only Charice! Love you even in 2020!!!
No one like her as David Foster says. You can see how Filipinos here in the states adore her during the time when she’s still charice . Even us at work we took time off just to see her in concerts of David Foster and friends. In Las Vegas .San Jose ,in Mondavi Winery .
One of my biggest pet peeves - there's this stupid notion in the U.S. of what a female pop artist should sound like, so every singers are engineered in the studio to end up sounding the same. Demi Lavato sounds like Britney sounds like Selena sounds like Charice sounds like Gaga, and so on and so on. Can't stand it! Asian recording studios do much better jobs. In live recordings they don't engineer the soul out of it, so in the same way, I love her live recordings.
Possibly the best version of this song w/ Kelly Clarkson coming in close second. It's just so full of heartwarming emotion and childhood innocence in that big ol' smooth, big voice.
Still BY FAR the best version and performance of this song. The look on composer and accompanist David Foster's face tells it all. If I had a time machine, I would put this on my top 100 events to visit; and myself being so sexy, I'd stop Charice from even considering the sex change! Yeah, baby!!
She has all the ability and the chance to become a big star like arianna grande, selena gomez or taylor swift. Some singers might reached a certain level of fame ONCE because their song became an instant hit but eventually didn't consistently reached the top because the fame really came from the song and not because of the talent, but charice DANG! She can make it on top! she is talented, adorable, and loved by many people and she might be the first pure filipino to be on that certain level of fame internationally something that most of the filipino artist targeted, to be on an international stage and to be known globally. You can clearly see her popularity in this video. I am a big fan of charice and I know that she is happy now being jake zyrus but you cant blame me i really adore her before whenever her videos popped on my reccomendations i automatically watched it and be amazed on her impeccable talent. CHARICE i will be your forever fan and i can assure you that i will forever watch your videos and continue to be amazed. JAKE ZYRUS I hope you already find peace and happiness, love and light ❤️❤️❤️
Holy Wow ! This girl could have reigned as the one true Diva. That Tone, timbre, and pitch during the runs. She could have held her own with any of the other girls. Her voice was developing more each year. She walked away from one of the biggest careers in the business. I know she/ he still sings but music is as much about an image as well as talent. The audiences all over the world would have sold out halls to see a pretty girl sing her talent song after so much tragedy and heartbreak. I respect people who follow the path that makes them authentic as an artist. This is just so much to give up on many levels. She would have been the headliner at this point. I hope he’s truly happy. Because that does supersede everything else.
Yeah Charice is sadly gone forever. Whilst she was up there with the greatest ever female singers, Jake Zyrus doesn't compare to the greatest male singers like Michael Bolton. I loved Charice though, the pretty kind with no tattoos.
I know. That God-given talent and training from David Foster shouldn’t have gone to waste if only she didn’t shun the guidance of her mother (I think). She had all the ingredients and backup to have had become an all-time great. Gender preference is not even an issue. It’s just sad that there was misguidance somewhere.
I actually miss Charice. It would’ve been awesome to see her grow in the US as an international star. Her voice is so much better than most of these female singers of this generation. I actually prefer when a singer can belt. Singers who CAN sing, to me are the best singers.
Its December 2020, I always come back to this video during Christmas time. It captures the epitome of Christmas, the cold weather, the festive lights, the spirit of winter. Who's with me?
It’s 2020 and we’re still here, missing the old Charice. I cant help but imagine how big of a star she is by now if she didnt... anyway i hope she’s happy,
Honestly speaking, I don't usually listen to this song not because of the lyrics, but I did't find the rhythm pleasing to the ear, but with Charice version I'm now addicted to it. So soft and angelic voice... Love you Cha
Charice, is there a christmas cd with all your christmas music. I think a lot of people would love to listen to your beautiful voice. I hope this feat can become real.
