The confidence is one that sets her apart from our pinoy divas. You feel relax listening to her because of her confidence when hitting those high notes. But critics often misunderstood this confidence as arrogance or being cocky. But this is the confidence that the international scene noticed here. Waiting for another international diva to come out in our country. I will always cherish the era of Charice coz he brought out a lot of great perfomances through out her prime, it’s short but meaningful. Thank you CHarice :)
it's been 2022 and for me, still no one can beat her. a lot of singer can do high notes but only Charice who can do it perfectly even when LIVE show!! i mean, when a singer sings their song live it's gonna... you know what i mean. but, when i saw Charice sang Pyramid Live, it's just WOWW. Charice's era is the best era of an opera song or a high notes singer can make theirself famous by their music. i swear if Charice still here, she can be in the top tier with Taylor Swift or Ariana or Olivia. one of my biggest mistake is when Charice is famous around 2010, I'm still 5 years old:). Chasters will always supporting her even she's doesn'rt exist anymore. your country is filled with so many talented singer, and i'm still wait for "the next Charice" from a filipino. greetings from Indonesia, we're brother sister:)

Hadn't been back to this one for a while myself. Surprised it doesn't get a lot more hits. That ending, with her voice reverberating around the place like that is just astonishing.
I can’t believe glee only reduced this girl to a guest appearance. She was a hit with the fans and had the vocals.....but it would have messed up the Rachel berry storyline. Also, they wanted to keep Asians as a tokenized presence through Tina Cohen Chang, who they also reduced to a background stereotype
She was extraordinary. But she never touched my soul. I can listen to Mariah, Celine, Whitney, Regine, Lara Fabian etc. for hours without getting bored. But she for me it was just a huge voice and that’s all. I never felt emotion in it. Maybe is just for me. But now this voice is lost forever. Maybe with the years this voice have become even better if not for the transition that she made.
Charice didn't take this song to a whole new level lol. Don't exaggerate. The performance was indeed stellar, but it was the same arrangement and style of singing. And this is how you actually sing the song.
For her age, this was really really good. But there are some things that stick out if you're used to the Celine version. On the quick parts that just tap high notes and then stop them, Charice tended to fall flat before letting the note go and at 3:32 you could hear that her tongue and larynx were both raised up high instead of being relaxed, which gave it a dull sound (like Jessica Simpson's belts). 3:38 the high note got a bit shouty, although Celine's original was raspy there too. 3:47, again with the high tongue and larynx--you can even see that her tongue is jacked up and tensed, which is a sure sign of strain. It's not really fair to compare her in this video to Celine because when Celine sang this, her voice was already mature and she had been professionally singing for more than a decade and had been taking vocal lessons for five or six years. Charice is essentially just a little girl here, although she showed a ton of potential. It's just not fair to compare a veteran singer to a child, although Charice did better than a lot of other singers could ever do.
razrv3lc Charice has been singing to feed her family since she was 7yrs old. She may not have been a professional but competing in almost a hundred singing contests is quite intense as well. She won about 75% of the time, often against older singers.
razrv3lc yes u r right. Celine version is better at certain parts and i am used to her version No doubt charice is vocal prodigy. Celine strain her voice but charice easily hit the high notes one after another. Both are my favourites
That happens because Charice was not using the mask singing tecnique (which creates no resonance) but the REAL resonators(pharnyx and throat) and a little of tongue tension must be needed in order to create a REAL resonant sound which can be heard even without a mic. Charice knew more than everyone else what she was doing ,she is scientifically the best female singer ever
@@eagleandtigers6483 hah? Charice is definitely singing with depressed larynx like throughout her entire career. That's why you'll hear poor diction, fake depth, similar to Lara Fabian but Charice is more more open.. If you want to talk about real resonance, you should take Mahalia Jackson, Shirley Bassey as examples. They both have developed voice, real resonance, proper dark, they also can sing with proper low larynx. Also their voice is huge. And for Celine, even she sings in nasal capacity, her voice is more developed than Charice.

Celine wasnt even trying when she performs this song she does it so effortlessly where in charice you can tell she tries .....charice version is good but its not epic like celines. Celine is one of vocal titans out of the vocal trinity, her range is massive and she can belt at ease in her power upper register dont get me wrong i love charices version but in my opinion celines version hits a certain spot
