I do love a rough towel! Hate it when you go on holiday and the towels are so fluffy and soft and you can't dry yourself properly! Love an old scratchy towel

Hello Mr. Carrington. Happy Saturday (watching Saturday morning here). What a great video. I loved it. It has so much information and was genuinely entertaining and engrossing. Many thanks for it. Loved the visit to the charity shops, and you had some great finds at very good (can we say cheap) prices too! I'm rather jealous of the Christian Dior towels, I have to say. I don't think I'd use them but simply put them out, with that embroidery on display, just to show off! LOL. Great find of the boxes of miniature perfumes. They'd make super gifts - if you can part with them. But I like the idea of emptying, washing them out thoroughly and then give them a few days to completely dry out, and using them as part of your Christmas Decorations with lights inside. All in all, a thoroughly fabulous watch and both entertaining and actually educational! Loved it. Sending regards and wishing you a blessed weekend ~ Cobs.

Some great finds there! I never seem to be that lucky when visiting charity shops, etc…. Loved the brass candle holders, they reminded me of my Nan, who had an array of brass paraphernalia in her house.

Favourite item - toss up between Neal's Yard or the candle sticks. Both absolutely me!

I love the brass candle holders, can't believe you got two from different shops. I love a soft towel..my parents bought me and my husband a tumble dryer for Christmas 3 years ago (our first ever one) and we couldn't believe the difference! They felt brand new. I do agree that rough ones can be better at drying though, just don't feel as good against the skin. Fab haul 👌

Hi Iwan, another lovely video as usual. I'm not too far from Lyme in Dorset (originally from Surrey), it was lovely to see your adventures once again. I love the brass trees, they are gorgeous. Brass was out for so long, it reminds me of all the polishing I had to do as a child in the 70's! I do love your finds. I had a good one in my cupboard tonight! I fancied some Christmas spicy candle scent, I found two packs of Habitat candles that I got for 10p after Christmas in the sale! Chuffed to bits! That has now got me into a festive mood. Well done with all of your finds. I cannot believe how much Mittens and Pumpkin have grown, they are just adorable, there again I am a cat lover. Can't wait for the next video. Great finds

I always see something in the charity shops when you and Kate go round them. However when I go, I never find little gems. I love the brass trees and finding 2 in different shops was such good luck. I’ve recently become a Yankee candle fan so that was a great find. What can I say about the necklace? £300-£600 when you look online. It’s a shame the lady didn’t want it but all good for someone to enjoy now. Your kitties are so mischievous. Great video, thanks for sharing 😊

Jessica Simpson was on the cover of a magazine back in the day wear that Tiffany's heart necklace. I named my daughter after that Lauren perfume. LOL Mittens is becoming a RU-vid Star! Have a great day.

Thank you for the tour of Lyme. I became fascinated with Lyme thanks to Jane Austin (an important scene in one of her novels takes place there) and Mary Anning. There are several books (fictionalized but based on her life and amazing discoveries). Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier is a good one ... and there is a 2020 film called Ammonite, starring Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan. I live in the U.S. and may never get to Lyme, but your tour has made me feel a bit better about that!

The Tresor perfume is gorgeous it was out about 20yrs ago and my friend told me it is back out again you should have left it in the plastic huni and gave it as a present ,the small middle bottle of perfume triangle bottle is the same fragrance as the big Tresor huni xx

I find the issue with alot of charity shops now is some start to harge a fortune for things...Oxfam being one of the worst tbh where the items are not even worth it

I like my towels rough I feel more dry from them rather than soft ones

The Parfums are still sold. Womens scents. The Tresor would make a great gift. The small bottles each one alone would sell for about $20.00-$30.00 each. In the box possibly a Gift set for about $55.00-75.00.

I love your videos Mr. Carrington. You got me through some lonely days after my partner and I broke up. It was like sitting down with a friend and a mug of tea. I got a puppy during that time and named him Lord Teddy Bear Carrington 😄 Thank you for your content.

Well, some good bargs there. That Neils Yard pack, was a fab price as it is quite expensive stuff to buy! Love Lyme Regis, been a few times as not too long a drive to get there from where I am, I have been in those charity shops, and I love the Crystal shop. Towels well cool with Dior name on! Bit spesh those! Yankee candle always worth grabbing if you see them in a charity shop. A nice little trip out for you, blow the old cobwebs and some London out of your system. Have a fabbo week ahead and thanks for the trip out, I enjoyed it a lot and was nice to see LR again xx

Mary Anning is an amazing women.. she was a pioneer in the field we now call paleontology. She was the first to discover many species including an Ichthyosaur. That fossil, as well as her Plesiosaur and Pterosaur are in Londons Natural History Museum. She is an inspiration to all geologists and palaeontologists. She lived in Lyme Regis and dedicated her life to fossil hunting on the Jurassic Coast. Ps. I am a geologist, grew up in north Devon and when home visiting my parents, we love to go there with my kids and do fossil hunting. Those purfumes are still fine because they are still in their box ie in the dark. I have poison, no 5, and many more I have been using for over 10 yrs and they are all fine (hugh quality purfume is fine if kept cool and in the dark).

What a quaint little village. The buildings truly look historical. Just very lovely and cozy. That was a nice visit, thank you for taking us with you! I really liked the nutcracker! Necklace was a good find!!

What a lovely video. When I was in my early twentys I used Tresor, I loved it as I also loved Isabella Rosselini who was in the Lancome ads. ❤️ And if I can choose between a soft and hard(ish) towel I choose the last one!

I love a fluffy towel. In previous times I’d wash and dry towels and the fluff them in the tumble dryer. Sadly, that’s become a luxury we won’t be doing this winter. I like the brass candle holders. How lucky to find two.

My favourite is the Tiffany necklace - what a find and simply gorgeous. Closely followed by the vintage perfume miniatures. I'm a complete perfumeaholic - the top shelf of my fridge is stacked with perfume - the scent intensifies when stored at cold temperatures. You took me down memory lane, as I used to wear Tresor. Thanks for the look around Lyme Regis - it's stunning, love the alleyways, the stream behind the shops, the fossils and the history too. A banging haul and a fab vlog Iwan👍💕

Tip on the Tiffany's necklace: If you take it back to tiffany's to clean, they will package it up in the box, ribbons and carrier bag for you when you pick it up, if they don’t, you can request it and they’d be happy to do it for you… i think you might have to pay for the cleaning if you don't have a receipt though but a super nice touch if it's going to be a gift

And ketchup make a brilliant polishing agent for brass and copper. 🍅✨ For the silver necklace, bicarbonate and boiling water in a tub lined with aluminium. ✨

As soon as you held up the mini perfumes, I thought Christmas decorations, so we are on the same page. Definitely love the towels for Mittens and Pumpkin, very cute. Lucky find the Starbucks mug, perfect size for a thirsty day. The first thing I spotted when you started your video was the unit behind your sofa, I can't wait to see the makeover, it looks just like something I would buy to put in my kitchen. Loved the little purse and definitely the silver heart pendant. The buildings look so interesting in Lyme Regis and in particular the light and filming had made everything look beautiful. I have the same Starbucks mug that I picked up in a thrift shop here in Canada. One of my fav authors is Kate Morton. I've read all her books and they never disappoint. I always laugh with your editing now as kittens jump in and out of the scene - so cute!

Tresor that's a blast from the past!, I purchased this when I started my first full time job (many years ago) I've had a look at the boots website and it's listed on there, it's either back in or has never gone away either way I had forgotten about it! Love this video. Plenty of bracing sea air, plenty of nostalgia and a great haul to boot. I used to wear Tresor perfume in the nineties and I too prefer a slightly rough towel lol.

I bought a small box jewelry pieces from an auction years ago, and hadn’t gone through them until recently. I used Google images to search for most of the pieces, and one came up as a silver Tiffany lapel or tie pin, which I will be posting for sale soon. You found some great things!!

Loved the visit to Lyme Regis and your 'finds'. I just had to comment when you held up the fragrance set that had Paloma Picaso in. I bought a set like this many years ago and to my delight found the Paloma Picaso became my fave fragrance. I have allergies and to find a fragrance that did not set me off was wonderful. I’ve bought most of my Christmas gifts second hand this year or made them myself it’s really surprising what you can get. I got a Pandora bracelet, benefit cosmetics, Molton Brown, a Charles and Diana bone china cup and saucer.

The perfume was a blast from the past, I'd say cuca late 80s /90s maybe, I'd use the mini ones for your oil burners.

There should not be peas in a traditional Cornish pasty! That would not be a “proper job”. Beef skirt, potato, swede/turnip and onions only! The Cornish are very particular about the recipe! 😂
