@ George, some advice on any type of cassette: they degrade over time and are affected by environmental conditions. I had difficulty transferring some 90's camcorder media to digital, every time I played the cassettes it would leave residue on the heads and they required cleaning, VHS cassettes have a lubricant included which has most likely dried up or been consumed through normal use. In summary, the VHS recorder was fine, it's likely the tapes that have been played by the customer are the problem. Love your content mate, keep it coming.

Be very gentle when cleaning the heads , the actual head is about half way down the drum , you will feel 2,4 or 6 little bits sticking out about half a millimetre, these are the heads , hence 2 head VHS 4 head VHS or 6 head VHS, a very light run with cleaning fluid and then let evaporate for about 10 mins before trying again.

Never purchased anything from cash converter to resell on eBay. They usually research on eBay before pricing their items.

For more piece of mind George when selling electricals buy some good void warranty security stickers of ebay and stick one over a screw hole so if returned you know for definite if something has been taken apart. This is also great for the more high end electricals as this will put a lot of scammers off when they see this sticker on your units in the photos. Good video mate and look forward to the next one

Get the “destructive” or “destructible” vinyl stickers. They cannot be removed.

I always cleam my vhs, dvd and cd players. Its only 5 minutes, and safe a lot of money in returns etc. Also resievers open them up and clean them from all the dust thats inside, you never know how long the durt and dust is already in there, and if the device burns out due to the dust, the customer is not happy, and he will send you back the device.

Good old Chelmsford I know it so well and also work there. That was the cash converters that sold me a PS3 super slim 500gb for £30. I got well over double that for it!!! Its a pity that RSPCA is still closed, I found the PS2 version of Simpsons Hit and Run for £1 in there once...

Might be a good idea in furture to give it a clean etc before sending out. You can put in the details, system tested, head cleaned etc.

Great video as always. Ventured out yesterday to some more chazza's and oh my god they are rammed. One had a corner which was ceiling to floor with donations. Bought loads (of the stuff they already had out), and looking at the mountain of donations... I shall be back. And a bit of RA...

Cleaning the head with a cotton tip and alcohol will damage the head... Instead cut a strip of paper and soak it in alcohol, rap the strip around the silver drum and spin it! Much better consistent clean!

I have a question and maybe you could do a video on this. I sold an item on ebay and the buyer paid the correct amount as I got an email about it. Then when I went into my PayPal and discovered that I was missing 1.77 which is PayPal's fee. How do I overcome this when I list another item and it is sold, as I dont want to be paying the difference from my own money? Any help appreciated thank you :-)

Honestly a bit surprised that hardly anybody is wearing masks in this I guess there's distancing measures in place and hand sanitiser but even staff etc aren't very well protected, thought places had to have screens at the tills etc
