You made it totally wrong. The real meaning is all different. It is a simple poetry by Baba Bulleh Shah urging people to follow the true almighty in meditation(spinning the wheel) forgetting all rites, rituals, fasting, differences as creator is one and only for all. The same message was earlier given by Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Meaning forget rites and rituals and follow only one. Bulleh Shah is saying that he is waiting for a glimpse of almighty and is doing all efforts to get attention of his beloved (almighty). Do not forget that this poetry is opposite of Islam and a copy of Baba Shri Guru Nanak dev ji from Guru Granth Sahib ji.

Don’t know how this is opposite Islam? Baba Guru Nanak Jee was a believer of Islam as her performed pilgrimage in Mecca. All is One in my humble opinion

@ranousman-st5ib Guru Nanak when visited Mecca it was under Hashimiites(King of Jordon now) and not under Wahabis. Totally different. Guru Nanak himself declared that he is not a Muslim and Muslims will cry for pilgrimage like hajj.

Baba Guru Nanak was inspired majorly by Data Ali Hajveri RA - who was one of the many the-then living saints of Sunni Islam (who we refer to as a Sufi) . Meditation (Muraqaba in Islam) , spiritual miracles (karamat) and all is embeddd in the essence of Islam since ever - but not fussed over and made a reason to establish the truth albeit it may enhance our belief in it. The wahabis do NOT represent the Sunni orthodoxy and are a 250 year old movement. They are not considered Sunnis by the concensus of scholars of Sunni orthodoxy - as well Ahl Tashih (shias). The ‘spiritual’ teaching of Baba Guru Nanak - are but the tip of the iceberg of what the saints of Sunni Islam have throughout Islamic history - yet we respect all. The mere comment of ‘this is against Islam’ is patently false and indicates a clear lack of knowledge about the essence of orthodox Sunni Islam - tassawuf ( what is known in English as ‘Sufism’). Baba Bulleh Shah RA himself was an orthodox Sunni - Shaf’i in fiqh , Maturidi in Aqida , Qadri in sufi silsila (derived from Sh Abdul Qadir Jillani RA) Hence - with due respect I would urge you to research this matter further if you opine to continue making such assumptious statements in the future. @alinoor5716 There is no meditation in Islam. Meditation is 100% copied from yoga and "Dhyan" and "Naam Simran" concept originated in India and part of Indian philosophy from thousands of years. Islamists used this concept to lie to people in order to convert them to their cult.

Beautifully sung. Never thought would hear a cover in such a voice which is mostly sung by folk/sufi singers. However just one point, regarding introduction that it is sung by a young woman waiting for beloved. Ideally speaking these songs were written anciently by sufi saints/ where the woman is actually person himself/herself and mahiya/beloved is God. Many sufi songs in the romanticised interpretations, associate love b/w man and woman. However these are metaphors trying to find God

It was December of 2021 , my friend and I was coming back from somewhere in his car. He then played this song and said Ali listen it that time I hardly understand punjabi (now I do understand a lil more) and told me listen it careful. After the intro part when she started singing i was awestruck by her voice . Her way of singing and speaking is a lot different. There are lot of version of this song but nobody stand a chance against her.
