You say that but they have changed co hosts a million times since Yee left and the feeling hasn’t been the same since. Envy leaving would kill the show completely. Charlamagne really doesn’t have as much star power or pull as yall think. He’s really not even entertaining on his own podcast.

I think a maybe more accurate statement would be that Charlemagne's audience doesn't watch tv. His fan base was gained from radio and his podcast which is on the internet. No. Thats not how it works in this case. He was on the radio promoting a scam.. That is not hearsay or an opinion, that is a fact. The day an fbi raids your building, thats all the civil side needs. The feds case will take years to play out. The worst thing they can go is keep him, then the feds or the civil courts find him guilty because that is even worse than letting him go. Envy is done and Iheart will be complicity to his actions since they were not paid to advertise the scam. Had Iheart been paid 20 dollars for it, then it would be a business transaction but since it wasnt, then they become a partner in crime even though they are not personally gaining from it

HOWEVER, civil wise it can be made to look like "You allowed this man to use YOUR PLATFORM to do his side hustle which was not on the up and up. Even though you did not back his side hustle, you are complicit in allowing him to use your platform and by extension reputation to perpetuate this scam". Where as iHeart's legal defense to that would be "We trusted our host because we had no reason to believe he was using our platform to do anything illegal. We are just as much a victim in all this as you are in that his illegal activities has damaged our reputation".

Nah Charla’s naturally too laid back. I’ve heard him carry the show alone when Envy & Angela were running late and the energy wasn’t there. He’s much better in small spurts or when he’s playing off someone else’s energy to elevate his own. It takes a different type of mental stamina to carry a show like Joe Budden or Akademiks does. It’s a different skillset entirely which I believe Charla isn’t interested in mastering at this point of his career
