Fred, your vulnerability had me tearing up. My son is 20, he deals with anxiety/depression and refuses to go to therapy bc it’s not “cool”. Nor is there a strong male force in his life to help him understand how it can help him. I’m gonna have him watch this interview to listen at how multimillionaire men can still have the same issue he has and get help. Thanks for sharing, Fred. You don’t know how much this helped me! ♥️🙌🏾
@@lugo_ayana Yes, I have all the basics covered and the initial issue is he doesn't want anything to do with therapy. I'm gonna keep praying, not give up and assist with as much guidance as I can.
@Aries Girl: My son is the same way☹️ his father died when he was young and he never met him. I've been in this battle with him to talk about it and get it out I truly hope that you're able to reach him and find someone he trusts to release his feelings too.
Love how Fred not only opened up but took the lead in this interview. This show is always amazing but I love when Fred opens up! It lets you know he is truly passionate about what he is talking about!
Pivot, take a bow!!!! This conversation with Charlemagne, was by far, one of the best I've seen, it even makes me look at him differently. Thank you and great job!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Charlemagne and Fred for being so vulnerable about your mental health struggles. Representation Matters! Maybe someone will use your stories to seek guidance. I chose not to say “help” because of the stigma around that term.
I agree, my perspective is that avoiding the word “help” doesn’t do us justice. We need help sometimes. We don’t have to do everything ourselves and help should be welcomed with no stigma or strings.
Was it mental health when he put Spanish fly in a minors drank and had sex with her while she was passed out? I'm just asking a legitimate question ⁉️ Oh he plead to a lesser charge 🤦🏿♂️👍🏿💩 Rape is completely fine to y'all as long as you're a fan of the rapist 🤔... Carry on Merry damn Christmas to y'all 🤔
These men either encourage feelings of change and growth, or validate the path of growth one is already on! It’s not often you can feel true and genuine vibes through a screen or network, but you three never fail at it. Best podcast/show out there. Salute 💪🏾✊🏾❤️
@@mikemeansbizness Him and his boys run a train a 15/16 old girl back in when he was SC! Court records are out there! He plead guilty to a lesser charge!
As a young man, I just want to say I appreciate the knowledge and information y’all bring to the table each episode. In this episode I learned that there is still hope and you can recover. Personally want to thank y’all for being vulnerable in this episode because it gave me a “father figure” conversation and advice on infidelity. Now imagine not even knowing what the word meant until you watched this episode! EXCELLENT WORK GENTLEMEN.
I appreciate how people like Charlemagne and Brandon Marshall and Fred have made it much more acceptable for us to talk openly about mental health. For years black folks tried to pray it away.
I truly appreciate Charlamagne and Fred for sharing their stories. I am so proud of the black men that are opening up to therapy. It's not a sign of weakness. It's a powerful sign of strength. Let's celebrate breaking these generational curses to allow healing. Hats off to all of you.
This conversation is so necessary. I always tell my sons that if they ever feel overwhelmed by school, family relationships (or lack thereof) and life in general they should tell me so that I can seek the requisite help for them. When it comes to their mental well being, our home is a safe, no judgment zone.
The vulnerability and openness that Fred and Charlemagne displayed with help so many men with their mental help. It also helps women to navigate these spaces when dealing men and mental help. Dope episode…per usual.
FABULOUS EPISODE 👍👍👍👍👍💯💯💯💯💯. The Pivot Podcast helps me in my personal life. I absolutely enjoy listening, learning and being entertained. SHOUT OUT TO CC RC FT AND THE ENTIRE PIVOT PODCAST CREW.
I loved this dialogue! Being a therapist specializing in anxiety I hear so many key areas of importance being discussed. Great tips to take away for managing panic attacks, acknowledging your own trigger of anxiety/worry and the challenge of perception! Self exploration is soooooo key! Mental health and the culture!
Every time I watch this podcast I learn so much about the people and I learn something about myself. Just one hour and each one of these men dropped so many gems. Real men in real conversations. So powerful.
This podcast made me realize that I might actually have anxiety and that it could also be what is hindering my asthma from being better (most people in my family got over it). All the times of staying up, overthinking about all the bad scenarios that could possibly happen in life and going down the worst possible rabbit holes of all time are actually because of anxiety... That's really revolutionary and full circle that his podcast made me realize that. I've had therapists that didn't get this right but I feel like a new part of me is opened up and I'm happy about that because it means I'll finally know how to deal with it to a degree of course. You can never truly get rid of something like that but as Fred said, by not putting myself in situations that will cause anxiety, I will be much better off in life and live a much healthier lifestyle. Thank you pivot cast. 🙏🏿
I’m struggling right now with my mental health and trying to find myself again after I suffered a tremendous loss in my family. Seeing discussions like this really do mean a lot and help me cope with my trauma. You guys are the best podcast around, thanks a lot!!!!
Taking and knowing that you are I'm control is the first step. Once you get into the space of letting go what you cannot control you get to live more in the moment.
I honestly believe that my biggest Pivot is about to take place due to this episode. Currently in Anxiety/Depression therapy for two months… and waiting for a phone call (As I type this comment) to discuss recently discovered growth in my left Kidney. So grateful for what all four of you do. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! GOD bless you all!
THIS IS THE BEST EPISODE YET !!! So so so many important points hit on in this episode that needs to be talked about deeply in our communities. I love this podcast man keep going guys. Incredible
Jumped on the comments right away! As a South Carolina native, I've always seen Uncle Charla as inspiration... Glad to see him in this space. I'll be meeting the big homie real soon (claiming it)
Whew!!! Just when you think episodes can’t get any better. The transparency among you amazing men is soooo incredible. This conversation was scrupulously honest and so very necessary. Thank you for sharing. Thank you for removing the blinds from all the windows and letting us have a birds eye view. God bless you gentlemen and your families ❤
To listen to these conversations you guys touched on is amazing! I was not able to sit down and have any discussion with my pops about life in general. I took a lot from this! I will do my best to apply these jewels to my life !!!!
That was straight fire 🔥 the whole convo was dope as hell love who Charlamagne has become definitely someone I look up to thank you for the inspiration king!
Thank you Fred and Charlemagne for sharing so openly about your mental health struggles and what helps to manage it. It is so vital for black men to seek help and healing for what they are experiencing. I love that these black men who have influence really demonstrate how they can be vulnerable. It is so vital for other men to see it is ok to get help and to be vulnerable. We have to create these safe spaces. I feel black people in general have had their experiences minimized and we as a culture have said to pray it away as the men discussed but something’s need a professional and even sometimes medication to manage what they are feeling. Representation matters and I am so grateful for their genuine conversation!! This is an amazing episode!
So much was unpacked in this episode. The vulnerability of both Fred and Charlamagne brought me to tears. Cheating is a learned behavior, I was happy to hear Ryan say " if you have a young lady coming over, no one else is, and if you bring over someone else, that 1st young lady can't come back" When those parameters are put in place, kids learn early that cheating or being unfaithful is not tolerated.
In my opinion, this is the root of why some Americans have to dehumanize Black Men… cause y’all are POWERFUL and command a certain kind of Gem-ship. Thank you for doing your Soul work and making it public!! I will pass this on to young black men I know.
This was good! I shared it with my husband and son, because they often have these conversations. There’s only so much wisdom a mother can share/give💯 Real men have REAL conversations!
I loved the conversation about how to keep your kids grounded ..I don’t have a lot but me and my kids travel 2 or 3 times a year and I want to teach them everyone doesn’t have this privilege…but after this conversation I’m wondering why am I so adamant about teaching them that ..I just want them to never think they are better than anyone because I was the little girl that never took vacation, got my passport in my 30s
I really appreciate the PIVOT and having positive quality guests with transparent and authentic communication within our culture. I also would like to see more conversations with solutions on not being ruining black women & running over us due to EGO, ENTITLEMENT ATTITUDE & IMMATURITY… healing is necessary & there’s NO shortcuts in doing the work…
Thanks Charlamagne for being so open & truthful during your healing process. The Pivot hit another one out of the Park (or made a Touchdown)!! Good Job fellas!! :)
Definitely needed this one today! I literally had my first panic attack last week, winded up in the ER, I didn’t know wtf was happening I thought I was having a stroke. It’s very scary
this episode was awesome, shockingly so. Well done by everyone. Charlamagne had some real stuff to say. I'm a fan of the podcast and this may have been the best episode for me.
Great job Gents! This was yet another outstanding episode! Mental, spiritual, emotional, physical, and relational health for men (especially black men) is rarely discussed let alone encouraged!
Man, that was a hell of a interview. Charlemagne got so much to give to the world. This type of podcasts been showing us how trashy tv interviews are actually are. I’m so grateful man 🙏🏾
Bros….This one right here, just let’s me know that we as men need to continue to touch on issues that can help us become better men for ourselves an our families,it opened my eyes to things that I’m dealing with now as a black man….Much Love💯.
@fredtaylor tremendous episode my brother. “The process of perception provokes the panic and that’s what creates the anxiety” man that hit different. Salute to.
And another thing that’s great about this platform is guests I never think I’ll connect or care about come off human and real. No matter how I’ve felt about said guests in the past; in this space the real shines through. Salute fellas!
Truly a blessing, Men discussing our insecurities. Thank you Freak Fred Taylor, Real RC, Chan and CT tha God. Your competitor's in this marathon but in your lane. God bless y'all.
Thanks guys for having this interview. The evolving of CTG is a pleasure to see. This interview will definitely have a profound effect on convo amongst men.
I couldn't stand Charlamagne..............After this episode, I respect him and the mental issues he shared with us. Take a lot of guts for him to do that. He gained a new fan.
Everyone wants to be accepted in spaces where their acceptance isnt wanted. We have to accept ourselves before we can attract the mental environment of acceptance. That requires work. I love this show frfr.
I would like to salute the pivot podcast on y'alls platform, as a perceived white male in this world eventhough I'm native American this podcast has helped me in my life to be a not only a better man, husband, and father but just an overall better human being much love to the pivot podcast. Can't wait to see who y'all have next!
Wow man for Fred too admit he had social anxiety, I’m blown away. I have it too and it’s stressful, for someone of his caliber to say it publicly just feels so much more comforting
Great interview love how vulnerable Charlomagne always is so wasn’t surprised but his maturation is really incredible & how much he cares & how hard he goes for mental health is truly amazing & how much he cares about black people & especially black men is truly special 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
