Being 44 years old from Jersey, I have listened to Charlamagne for a long time. It's great to see his journey to where he is now. Also attended Hillsong for 7 years from 2013-2020, in NJ and NYC. Great to see Carl in this space now after so much. God heals and He isn't finished until He is finished :)
Thought I would do a drive by ... and keep it moving, feeling Iike I've heard these testimonies before ... but I stayed to the blessed end, and saw both of these men in a more gentle and compassionate light. At 67, I don't take in 'wisdom' from younger men, easily ... but something in this particular interview has me rethinking my open heart.
Just another humble that We are all God’s children and He walks with each of us no matter what others may believe about our characters. Everyone is in different phases of their sanctification process🙏🏾
This conversation is pure gold. Always been a fan of Charla and his honesty, and always will be and been a forever fan of Carl Lentz since I heard his message on wonder years ago. Prayers for both of you incredible humans, your families and your hearts🙏🏽👏🏽💙
I really can't stand Char anymore, I've just seen him try (and fail) and too many serious convos and horrible political takes etc. but maybe this convo and Carl can turn me around, I'll give a shot! This podcast has been nothing but excellent so far so I have faith!
I saw you comment after I posted mine ... and appreciated your honesty. I wanted to know more about you, but found your IG and RU-vid haven't bee updated in a while. Obviously that's intentional ... but if you don't mine, what are you doing, today? It's has to be healing not having a digital update but I suspect you've been living more life.
I don't think he was thinking about that. I honestly feel he was just being in the moment, learning about him and talking to him. Let's have some grace. I'm pretty sure every word out of your mouth is not perfect.
@@JARARIAN obviously I don’t know the man personally but he comes off extremely arrogant, I don’t agree with his political ideals, his beliefs, his lifestyle, just his way of thinking. He’s very ignorant, charlatan-like and just overall- would never take advice, an opinion etc from an individual of his liking. I don’t understand how he became so “influential” but then again, the world is blind and lost.
@@4elizabeth thank you answering honestly. I had a similar dislike for him. I thought he was a bully & his antics were unproductive for the culture. As a fan of the breakfast club, I got to see him transform and become a better version of himself. Maybe you were able to see some of that watching this conversation between him and Carl? Or maybe not 🙂
@@JARARIANwell my opinion hasn’t changed after watching. I have empathy for what he’s been through, can acknowledge his growth in integrity for his own values/beliefs and respect his heart for wanting to help the black community or just people in general …. But there’s something about him that I don’t connect with. At the same time, people can hear about Carl’s story, listen to him and Laura’s podcast AND STILL NOT LIKE THE MAN or relate to him. Can’t please everyone and not everyone will like you ya know. I do think he still needs prayer and hopefully will grow towards Jesus. Perhaps Carl will be there for him and with him along the way.
Good thing Carl decided not to be a pastor. Cuz he stole God's Glory for many years. God took it away from you for abusing it the good thing is you learned your lessons.
