If they can fit 68 into a field of 64, there’s a way to add 1 more. Speed up the NIT so it’s champ is crowned before the Elite Eight starts. The highest seeded March Madness team must then defeat the NIT champion in a play-in game to either (1) prove that it belongs in the Elite Eight or (2) prove that the NIT champ belonged in the main tournament all along (winning a field of 32 + defeating an Elite Eight team = MORE than enough proof)

In the past 5 years, I score an average of 57% of the brackets. The highest year (2016) was 62%. The real challenge starts in the 2nd round because most of the pretenders are eliminated an it's anyone's game

57% is nothing to brag about.. Picking the 4 #1 seeds to win their first game, and picking every game randomly would give you a 53.2% average. So you only pick 2-3 games correctly above average.. that's nice and all but I'm sure there are people much better than you.

Actually in 57% is pretty good when an decent bracket is 70% and highest is around 87%. In 2015, I got 28 of the 32 1st round picks right even thousands of brackets had 29, 30, 31, 32 of 32 picks right in the first round. It gets difficult in the 2nd round clearly if your top picks are eliminated, you'll lose point incentives

Music Man, it makes no sense how random picking favors the correct vote. Please explain how an obvious 50% random chance is actually 53%. I'm interested to hear about how a 50/50 chance can favor one side by 3%.
