Charles Blow sits down with the mother of slain kid Tamir Rice, Samaria Rice, on her son’s legacy.
Rice is still seeking justice and accountability over her son’s 2014 death at the hands of a Cleveland police officer.
Rice talks to Blow about the Tamir Rice Foundation and her recent comments on activist Tamika Mallory.
“Those type of activists are putting the community to put us to sleep and to do things that will benefit their platform in the end,” Rice tells Blow. “We need to see more activists showing us how to get indictments and convictions and not just getting book deals and movie deals. We want justice for our children.
