Man, these vintage Russian cine lenses are just PERFECT for folks like me who are big fans of the soft, vintage look. I have a few of these in the Kiev-16u set (Tair, Vega, MIR), and this gorgeous video reminds me that I need to shoot with them more! #SUBSCRIBED
there is slight vignettes on wider focal lengths (below 25-28mm ish, 35mm is good). But if you go for a 2.4:1 aspect ratio on the bmpcc it goes away. what size is the bmcc 2.5K sensor?
@@mohaps it is just a lousy lens. I seldom shoot ABOVE f5.6 so for me I will never bother using that lens again for any project other than to stabilize my boat on a lake.
@@HelpUsSaveLives haha! :) i use it for experiments and such. Nearly broke my wrist filming this handheld ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6GUJCRphuMo.html :P But it has a look I like
yeah, i experiment with affordable / cheap vintage lenses. I grew up watching b-films shot on 16mm discarded/expired stock blown up to 35mm -- so I personally like a soft focus/moody color kinda vintage look
