dont let charles hear you call him french or he will have a bone to pick w you!!! all jokes, but he does seem to dislike when people call him french LOL. he is monegasque (from monaco) but the accents are quite similar and they do speak french so it totally makes sense to mix up the two, esp bc monaco is so tiny so it is rare to meet many native monegasques. i recall when he was in one of the lower formulas, they actually played the french national anthem instead of the monegasque anthem hahaha. he speaks italian, french, and english, and italian and spanish can sound quite similar to non speakers so that is most likely why it sounded like spanish! (although despacito was spanish, he said it bc the person in front of him was luis fonsi who is the guy who sings despacito)

Watching actual F1 drivers race on the Sims/games during the first lockdown was unreal. Now it's almost normal. Max Verstappen last minute joined a sim racing event this weekend. Imagine being a semi-pro sim racer and the last minute sub for your race is an actual F1 driver.

He is from Monaco (the language there is French), and the part where you thought he was Spanish, he was actually speaking Italian

Charles is a Monagasque(hailing from Monaco/Monte Carlo). The language spoken there is French.

So Charles is Monegasque (From Monaco) and the native language is mainly French which is his main. He's fluent in English (like all drivers), he knows a little bit of German because his old team Alfa Romeo Sauber, the Sauber part of the team is Swiss and based in Zurich Switzerland but mainly Italian because of the Alfa Romeo side of the team, his old team in F2 Prema and now his current team Ferrari were all mainly based in Italy.

F1 Divers do sometimes Practice like this on a simulator but the is more realistic and and in a place where they work and they wouldn't stream him practicing but this was in quarantine lando got some Drivers to join him with streaming just to like interact with fans seeing there were no races

They do practice like that sometimes, but its mostly on their teams' facility where they have realistic simulators. There he is just playing with friends

You should check out who Lord Mahaveer Raghunathan is. He was an f2 driver just like Lando, Charles, Alex and George was before f1. I'm not gonna say anything but once you check it out who he is you will understand why it was funny that Charles got out quali by him in sim.
