I would have to disagree on the intermitting fasting thing ,animals do it when they are forst by the seasons ,humans have done it for thousands of years , I've been doing it for two months now and have never felt better at 53 and I'm on my way to getting shredded, my brain is sharp and I have more energy and there is science to back the effect of it ! Now if you are a power lifter or trying to bulk he is right on the money. And some of you guys are very rude there is a real person behind these vids that will read these posts, but must agree she is about as hot as it gets , beautiful girl ! Keep up the good vids !

I think you have a point. And totally agree about these rude comment about a very classy lady.
@jamesmallon1631

His point is animals dont fast by CHOICE. I can see where he is coming from... but that is because most animals don't have that kind of cognitive ability to assess the benefits of fasting. So, eating must be instinctive, as carnivores never know when their next meal is coming. Makes sense then, that if food is available we will eat it. However, carnivores in the wild DO ignore food if they are full too. Personally, I agree with you, fasting has been the best change I have ever made to my life. He says there is no evidence to show the benefits? That shocks me as he is a well researched guy. My only guess, is that he SELLS his way of eating... when people do that.. they must discredit the OPPOSITE way of eating to what they are actually selling. Just a theory

You Said it "getting shredded". Point Proven!

For the majority of human history, H. sap didn't fast by choicer; nor did any of our hominid ancestors. In fact, there are LOTS of H. sap living today across the planet who have to fast every day of every week, and it's not by choice. The point is that if intermittent fasting works, it is because our species and most other mammals have adapted via natural selection to live, survive, and perhaps even thrive in an environment where food is only periodically available/ plentiful. Also, I find it hilarious when fitness people talk about those who tend to naturally hang on to fat as having 'poor' genetics. Just wait and see how poor those genetics are after the nice cushy countries in the West fracture due to climate change, mass immigration and political divisions. I imagine the man or woman who is able to lean down with the least amount of work won't be doin' too fine in the aftermath of a regional war or revolution. Better hope the fast-cut is due to Clen and amphetamines!
@manhartlol6451
@manhartlol6451 5 лет назад
Intermittent fasting is great for cutting but meh for being as big and as strong as possible. He's right. But if you want to be a 170-180lb ripped to hell guy you can achieve it both ways. The reason for that is that if you are constantly eating ( 7 times a day is having a meal every 2-2,5h) your insulin will be constantly higher than usuall and that leads to incrased body mass easily. Considering you are exercising everyday or even 2 times a day that will definitely make you big

I have to disagree with one thing MR. Poliquin said about fasting: I have way better training sessions on an empty stomach then eating before I train.

@@CMTattoos Been reading Poliquin's books and watching podcasts lately, so I think that is what he might have recommended. lol. I will try to add that myself tomorrow when I will train fasted sort of in the morning. 25 gram whey which I usually do anyhow, but I will after watching this podcast add some walnuts too 30-60 minutes before my session. Choline and things :) Cheers and good luck with your training.

@@kahinaloren thank you for the quick response .usually when i have wrestling training i train fasted (except preworkout some times ) and after any training session i have typical 2 scoops whey and meal but when i have heavy weight session and be fasted i have no much energy .I solved that with some nuts and jerky 1 hour prior weights (specific strenght training or weight lifting session) ..before i started keto i used to eat half an apple before weights along with nuts and whey so that my energy wont be depleted (and it worked for me mostly (but with keto )apple is no good .The wallnut idea is adequate i think as long i keep a well nutritional profile , orange triad (multi vitamin ) etcetc and till now it work for the most part .

So if you are on FB till 3am, and you are training at 8am should you still train? That's not me, but i can tell you i have fitfull nights, have been since i was a kid, i just can't shut my brain off despite being tired, for whatever that reason is, but my question is: shoudl you still train even if you got little to no sleep? is it worth it to still hammer out a workout, or should you just skip the days workout, and sleep the next night>?

His expertise is performance enhancing drug cycling, thats the secret to his "training". His nutrition advice is horrendous, his optimal health is a testament to this fact.

That’s completely untrue and totally unfair. That statement speaks to the ignorance you possess, if you’re familiar with German body Comp training, German volume training, cluster training, antagonistic supersets, Petersen step ups, fish oils, paleo diets, sleep hygiene, gratitude journals, BCAAS , you have this man to thank for bringing to the forefront. Pay homage and respect to one of the most accomplished strength coaches and influential minds in the fitness industry. This man donated to charities regularly and talks about how important it is to give in this world. Was he on steroids, yes, does that change the fact that he delivers results with what he prescribes, no.

@@jfitness432 He was also, to my knowledge, one of the main voices that made clear that a bro split, chasing the pump,muscle confusion, going to failure and beyond, using mainly machines routine, as spoused by Weirder and the athlete's he sponsored at the time, was not the only way to workout and in fact not optimal at all. For that alone we should be so grateful. Also help popularice structural balance, insulin management, the importance of gut and digestion, Cortisol management, CNS management, etc He could be grumpy or even straight up disrespectful. He also seemed to be biased towards enhanced and/or gifted athlete's. But still his net positive to the training world is immense.

Depending on your genetics training for “size” does not mean low reps and maximal weight some people have more slow twitch muscle fiber bundles in there body parts that grow incredibly well with high reps 20 and above as well as eating three even two meals per day using timed eating intervals WOW and fasting has been proven by real scientists and athletes for 10 years now as well as Ketogenic nutrition your information is Old and antiquated

@backfru

dont you think olympic athletes are on the podium because of great genetics, and their total dedication to their sport? How many olympic champions are winning because they eat meat and nuts for breakfast, take 60g of fish oil and 30g of leucine per day? It's funny - the fallback response everyone says about him is "yeah but hes trained olympians - he must be awesome" perhaps they won IN SPITE of the nonsense this guy is claiming here?
