How do I option permission to fly my drone in Charleston? I’ve been told it’s restricted airspace

It's not restricted airspace, downtown Charleston, WV is in controlled airspace. You can receive permission to legally fly here through a LAANC supported app like Aloft. That's how I got approval.

It's hard for me to believe there's only 47,000 people living here - it looks much bigger than that. But I know there's a lot more living in the metro area.

I agree. Small city limits population, and not even a real big metro population either at just over a quarter million.

Senator Manchin and Caperton, along with the conservatives that took over West Virginia politics, put the state into a disaster-like freefall. During West Virginia's heyday, both Republican and Democratic Governors were more competent.
