I lived in North Dallas for 12 years, everybody started moving there and drove rent and home prices through the roof. Packed my ish up and moved the fam back to Ark. got 2500 SF on 1.6 acres with a mortgage less than what I was paying rent in Frisco

Most folks moving to Texas go to Houston Dallas and Austin TX. And Texas cities are huge. Here in Georgia most people move to Atlanta and the suburbs of Atlanta.

I stay in Dallas and it use to be that way getting arrested for weed. But not anymore the city Council of Dallas came up with a law that states if you have a quarter pound and under as long it’s not backed up and you’re not on probation or parole you would not go to jail for weed. The reason for doing this is because the jail system was overcrowded with bullshit weed cases taking up space from the real criminals.
youll get a ticket if youre lucky. and thats only in dallas county. again its at their discretion. and if you have multiple bags thats cause for a distribution charge.

Harris county (the county where Houston is located) also decriminalized up to 4 ounces of marijuana, and anything under 2 oz's they're not even citing anymore (if you don't have any warrants or weapons on your person). The surrounding counties make too much money off of weed offenses to just let it go like that. Texas is ok if you know how to move, it's just kind of tricky sometimes.
