I agree to an extent. You were dead ass wrong about one thing ~ the older generation having more opportunities. The current generations of adults and young adults have far more opportunities. FARRRRRR more opportunities! It’s not even close. I was born in 70’ when I graduated HS in 1988’ I had far fewer opportunities to find a job that would support a family. I worked two-three jobs paid my own way to college. It was military or find work, or go to college. Most men can’t afford a family right out of high school. The economy of the world today, social media, technology, far more and diverse ways to earn money. I often say to my sons, I WISH I would’ve had as many opportunities as your generation has at that finger tips. Feminism and lack of masculine role models have severely damaged two generations of men. In essence making them “softer” than previous generations. It is what it is. My father (born in 36’) and my grandfather (born in 1909) each one of them would tell me how much more difficult their lives were as Black men in those eras. My pops had a saying he’s say to me often “Back in my day ships were made of wood, and men made of steel, now ships are made of steel and men are made of wood. Trust me it was NOT more opportunities. The previous generations struggles to give subsequent generations more opportunities has been all but erased to feminism (dramatic rise is single mothers- Independent women sexual independence for women ) and technology (social media- easier access to wealth, clout chasing and promotion of our sun culture as the dominant culture) Empowering women and conversely devaluing men (emasculation) = two generations of “weaker men”
