That's how me & my family grew up. Guns on the fireplace mantel, nightstand, shotguns in the closet, me & my cousins, we learned to respect & handle the weapons at a early age. We grew up in some pretty rough areas though.

@SayCheese! 18 year olds are not allowed to buy handguns in Louisiana. You have to be 21 to purchase a handgun. The law you are referring to is about concealed carry, open carry has always been legal. At 18 you can have a long gun like a shotgun or rifle, but handguns are 21+. Also Charleston White is from Texas where everybody does 85% of their sentence. Louisiana used to be that you only served about 1/3 of a sentence because good time was 2 for 1. Sex crimes like aggravated grape or kid touching weren't eligible for good time, they are adding more crimes to that list and it's needed. The Democrat led cities like New Orleans are so rampant with crime, the police don't even respond to many calls with car theft or violent crime. Jefferson Parish right across the river has a tough on crime Republican sheriff and its a completely different world. Unc do be right tho dropping the fax.

Back in the day we were taught gun safety in middle school. In high school guys drive trucks with rifles in the rack in the back window. This world today is why these bad things happened with firearms. That use to be a right of passage for a father to teach the son how to shoot and hunt! Those skills put food on the table. But it also taught respect in nature that you never kill for sport. Never take a life just cause!

THIS MAN HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ADULT FACILITY! ….He has only been in a juvenile boys home. From a person that has done 10 years mandatory sentence in maximum penitentiary. I feel he should not speak on these issues from an adult bm experience. He should keep advocating for juveniles bcuz he has no idea about what’s a deterrent to grown men. This guy is stuck in his childhood, he got arrested for murder and grape as a juvenile and was released b4 21. When my friends committed murder they were sentenced as adults and some got several life sentences, 50 years, 75 years. The adult blck male experience is totally different from cw reality. This man was a spoiled kid by his mom from his own admission He never been in those dungeons with people sentenced to centuries and beyond. He talks wayyy too much out of ignorance at times
@@OfficialRenRichie he did he just didn’t get charged as an adult. If murder and grape is considered smart then Idk what is. He was lucky but there’s more qualified people to speak on that subject. In his case he got off east for “murder and grape”???… I’m from Maryland up here they will give a juvenile life as an *adult* for that type of crime in this state. But he got off easy ash so of course it wasn’t a deterrent “for him”. But in other cities and other states they have been tough on crime. You can’t get rid of poverty and crime by incarcerating people you have to deal with the base issues at the root. People need realistic “Alternatives”. In Baltimore where I’m from they tore down all of the rec centers, half of all of the schools are gone and abandoned, less jobs with decent enough pay to afford the costs of the rising costs of essentially *everything*. They got rid of everything else and built more jails and they even built a maximum prison for juveniles that houses high security youth. Basically they’re just giving them adult sentences for adult crimes now and keeping them until 21 and then straight to adult maximum security. With all of that still punishment in their face crime hasn’t drastically went down, some of these kids already considered death over there life circumstances and seen ppl die and get life which is the maximum. ITS STILL CRIME THO because as long as there is extreme poverty crime will always exist.
We have something similar in Milwaukee, WI called Truth in sentencing. You do whatever the sentence is unless you're able to get into a early release program.
Is this only in Milwaukee.M? I just came home from prison to Madison in Dane county and I have one year of ES left I didn’t need to participate in any programs
