Im a white guy in Memphis, been here my whole life . Let me say, I get what Charleston is saying and as many know, Memphis is majority black. Yeah its super ghetto in parts but there is also some nice spots too and there are black people there . Cordova. That's one example. I want to say that I've dealt with discrimination many times due to my sexuality. I understand discrimination. But I must say, black men and women have been the strongest and nicest people to me. Easy to make friends with and I get what Charleston is saying but people are going to paint it as "black man bad" or useless. Not true. And I know ; I've met and been friends with successful black men , I've had the black community and especially black men have my back when I could have been killed. I can't count how many ive known who have a heart, empathy and yes there are gangs and people in the street but young black men have a purpose. But if they grow up being told they have no purpose, that might happen. But I've seen them in good jobs, have a house and bust their ass. Hospitals do black women who are pregnant very bad and black men are told all the time that they are useless. Ive met all types of people and I can chill with anyone. But I hope people dont assume all black men are like that. A lot of white men fit in that same categoey if we're being honest. I know as a white guy on here, my opinion may not matter to some, but black men- so many of us DO see you alls potential. Same to the ladies- learn how to give birth at home. It's becoming a thing now that people are realizing the truth. Men need yall, children need yall. And yes I might be gay, but I have morals, Im respectful and im not creepy like some make us out to look like. I believe in being good to people.
