Thank you so much for this video, your advice and this vid specifically helped me pass my test today, it was the last thing I watched before I prepared for the test and flagged to me a number of (poorly marked) 30km speed zones I wasn’t previously aware of! It was exactly the route we took, bar a few tiny variations! Up by Dunnes Charlestown is really tricky to anyone preparing for their test beware of buses and cars pulling out very fast up right by the entrance to the shopping centre, you don’t get a minute in this area, and it is a 30km zone here but no one seems aware or sticks to this speed! My only regret is not having discovered yourself and these videos 3 years ago, but third time lucky !!! Nothing of what I learnt on here was flagged in my lessons, thank you so so much ! ❤
Thanks for this video. Very helpful! I just have one query that often gets mixed responses from 5 different driving instructors I had.. when driving an automatic car, what's the rule on the use of handbrake at traffic lights? One in particular insisted that I should shift to neutral and use handbrake (even on automatic car).. one said it depends on how long I anticipate i would be at the stop light.. another said that there's no need to do any of that at all when driving automatic car -- adding that footbrake is enough.. what do you think? I notice that you use handbrake when stopping at lights but not changing gear to neutral..
