Being an Indian I hear a lot of Indian scales but she really did so well with the Indian part. I rarely hear English music so I can't judge that part but the Indian bit was great.

I am a Sri Lankan in Canada. We love some Indian flare with Bollywood music and she killed it. Got the dazzling looks, moves and voice. I was screaming for her to pick Jason before she actually picked him. So glad of how it turned out. Best of luck Charlotte

Reason why singers may say they are from South India specifically and not India in general is most likely because of the difference in traditional music styles of both places. Carnatic music style is more prevalent in the South of India while Hindustani is the style most prevalent in other parts of India. What ever direction people may speak of, South, North-east or whatever, all are Indian and proud of that.

Jason was the right choice. He probably was the only one there with the most appreciation for Indian culture and the experience of mixing western style with Indian. Maybe the other guy has it too, but I have no clue who he is.
