Team TaylorMade's Charley Hull and Maria Fassi talk about their experiences with custom fitting, what they look for and how they work through their bag with TaylorMade's Senior Manager of Tour Operations Adrian Reitveld.
Charley and Maria! Very good Golfers and very beautiful. Keep it up and more and more people will hopefully start paying more attention to the LPGA. I think the women are better Golfers. They remind me of the Pro Men from years ago. Good strikers
don't get custom fitted if you are completely new. You havent found your swing yet, so you would have to change them the year after. Get used clubs the first year
The best idea would be to go with something simple, like PING’s height/arm length chart. Take a few lessons with those and you may not need a fitting until you’re a single digit handicap
YES! More LPGA content please. You guys are nailing it with these spots, pure gold. Nothing like gender-relatable biomechanics and feedback. Great job!
I'm sure custom fitting your clubs help but an amateur is not gonna spend 2,500$ on clubs. Club fitting someone who just started the sport is the most unrealistic thing I've ever heard.
I agree it looks odd, but I think it's a helpful way to create a repeatable robotic-like motion to end the swing. I heard her say she't not even aware it's hitting her head
Looking at both the swings side by side Maria is a much more naturally gifted player she is less robotic and looks to have better hands which is normally the case with more natural players she has a smoother better rhythm to her swing....Charlie is clearly a great player her swing is more manufactured she hasnt got the finesse of Maria and you can see that....the finish of her swing looks to be the same aswell not so natural and more built.
Fitting is great for amateurs dont get me wrong. its not great for a person who is just starting golf and dont have the fundamentals down for their swing. A brand new golfer will slice the ball. They think they need a fitting and theyll spend the money for it to not slice and etc. As time passes and they get better, that fitting is basically worthless cause their swing will become better.
Charley takes Tommy's club and nuts it and says "I quite like this". The golf manufacturers continue to sell the old line of custom fit and the newest "tech". Go get lessons and practice - you can play great golf with any modern golf clubs.
These Taylor Made dudes talk too much. Edit them down. Let's see the swings down the line with trackers. That's what we golfers all wanna see. The camera angles in this video are completely useless. When you go to the range, do you watch people hit from the front?
@@Mr.mallaer while you're correct in that's what they're thinking, you know what sells golfers? Telling us what club a pro is using, then letting us watch them hit it for a long time with trackers. Maria Fassi hits it 300. I wanna see her swing down the line for God's sake. Not from the front.
@@Peter-ff1tp This isn't true. I've seen her ball land in front of me, in person. She's got that extra gear if she needs it. Bianca Pagdanganan hits 300 yd drives all the time. Just because a player's average isn't above 300 doesn't mean they're not capable of hitting it that far.
@@komal1279 A more educated translation of his comment is "guys are afraid to ask questions out of fear of looking dumb". It's engrained since childhood, guys are just supposed to know everything 😅
@@PRYVTgomerPYLE they literally dont know which shaft is stiffer than the other lol. Rory and Tiger know every little detail of every club off one swing. The girls are still great players... just different levels.
The hard part is finding a fitter you can trust. Not that they are untrustworthy. There are just a lot of fitters that don't have great tools or experience.
Lower kick point than hers.. 😂😁It seems she never cared about shafts or clubmaking. How can you have such a bad understanding for the equipment as a pro? 🤔
@@AlexGalloway1993 a kick point on a shaft isn't a deep understanding its a very simple thing which most half decent amateurs grasp and she gets fitted for clubs all the time so you would think as her profession is a pro golfer she would have a general understanding of club dynamics.....
@@TheTraditionalGolfer maybe she doesn’t give flying f*ck. She gets paid to put the ball in the hole in as few shots as possible, not have any understanding of shafts and technical terms.
@@AlexGalloway1993 why was she asking so many questions then???? Clearly she does a fuck or she wouldn't be asking!! Clearly its just a poor understanding of something very basic.
